Until responsible gun owners support responsible gun control laws, innocent blood will continue to flow. How many times must we see this? Mr. King, who has openly supported banning semiautomatic weapons, tweeted to his 743,000 followers Thursday evening.
Too many closed minds on gun control. Worse, far too many PROUDLY closed minds. Meanwhile, the American shooting gallery remains open, he wrote. According to Bloomberg Business, gun deaths will exceed traffic fatalities in America this year. Cant put a seatbelt on a semi-automatic.

The idiot wants the citizens go back to the musket days, screw him.
Me neither. I’m usually drawn to good books with good storylines too; I’ve tried reading King’s books, but I end up putting them down even before I get sleepy.
Drug-induced deaths far outweigh firearm-related deaths.
Based on the numbers, we should focus on heart disease and poisoning to reach the most amount of people. Ironic a morbid horror author would advocate reducing the number of deaths. His books are the opposite, folks die in violent ways and he gets paid. Consider why he chose gun control out of the other causes including disease, falling, drugs, etc.....it's about control and power, not safety.
Back to muskets?
Just a short list of the many of firearm errors King has made in his books. He seems to be under the impression that one cocks a trigger to prepare a gun to be fired.
Dumbass Libs like King think semi-automatics = a gazillion rounds per minute.
What a joke. Steven King is to great writers what Tiny Tim is to great singers. Who cares what that mediocrity thinks?
Dear mr king: one of the key reasons so many millions of Americans own pistols is to defend USA against the imposition of an even more dangerous or oppressive dictatorship — which almost always begin with proposals like yours. Why don’t you test your brilliant idea sir? Get up and go door to door demanding Americans give you their firearms. Let’s see just how far you get - in a practical way - with your (patently unconstitutional) proposal.

If you put Wheels on a Gun, it’s either a Cannon or a Tank.
So I clicked the link, and wondered, "Who is that old woman?". Is King going through the same kind of transition as Bruce Jenner?
Bet that schmuck has armed guards protecting his sorry a@@ 24/7
I’m a responsible gun owner, and here is a gun control law I would favor: every household must have at least one firearm and have at least one person trained in its use.
Here’s another: If you are a crime victim, you will be fined a signficant amount, say $500, if you did not attempt to defend yourself or stop the criminal with a firearm. Individuals are responsible for their own personal safety. All the police can do is show up to assist the citizen with the criminal or to gather evidence of the crime. You are your own first line of defense, and you should be required by law to defend yourself, registered conscientious objectors excepted.
Mr King appears to be a physical coward, and what is worse, he appears to want to everyone else to act like one, too. I guess it would make him feel better about being yellow himself.
Nah, he has always look this stupid.
There should be training to teach people what to do if a gunman starts shooting in a large crowd. If there’s anything hard nearby throw it at him. Fifty hymnals hitting him at once would have brought him down.
Even semi automatic weapons have to be re-loaded eventually. The guy re-loaded twice. I simply don’t understand why he wasn’t tackled. Then again, I’ve never been shot at so I might freeze in my tracks, run like hell or climb in a hole. I like to think I’d try something if I knew it was my only chance.
Make him return to quill and berry juice on sheepskin. No point in allowing state of the art tools.
Jeeze, Steven’s more stupid than he is ugly and that’s a monumental feat.

Where are the stats from the chariot accident deaths?
92 people were killed on the roadways of the U.S. “each day” in 30,800 fatal crashes. The people with guns in the USA have a long way to go to catch up to traffic deaths.
