The hierarchy has been infiltrated by evil. They are now involved in politics that will destroy the economy of the US and allow outright theft.

Can the Pope explain why there is no Smoking Hot Spot in the upper atmosphere? Algore can't, Neil DeGrasse Tyson can't. Bill Nye can't. Maybe the Pontiff can.

No smoking hot spot

1. The greenhouse signature is missing. We have been looking and measuring for years, and cannot find it.

Each possible cause of global warming has a different pattern of where in the planet the warming occurs first and the most. The signature of an increased greenhouse effect is a hot spot about 10km up in the atmosphere over the tropics. We have been measuring the atmosphere for decades using radiosondes: weather balloons with thermometers that radio back the temperature as the balloon ascends through the atmosphere. They show no hot spot. Whatsoever.

If there is no hot spot then an increased greenhouse effect is not the cause of global warming. So we know for sure that carbon emissions are not a significant cause of the global warming. If we had found the greenhouse signature then I would be an alarmist again.

“US Catholics ready to follow Pope’s ‘marching orders’”

Our founding fathers distrusted Catholicism for just this very reason - that Americans may follow ‘marching orders’ rather than ‘law and order’.

The Nation State sprang up post Reformation for this very reason as well - the world got sophisticated enough to separate the politics from the religion.

Neither this pope nor any other will succeed in putting that genie back in the bottle.

The more this guy runs his mouth, the fewer Catholics he’ll have around to fund this nonsense in the future.

Never trust an Argentinian to do a man’s job.

I understand that, today, The National Register (IIRC) broke a story, indicating that Pope Francis has tied his advocacy of the AGW "climate change" model with the defense of "pre-born" life, on the grounds that if you weep over the fate of the biosphere, of wildlife, etc., etc., then how can you not weep over the active, routine, ongoing, deliberate destruction of pre-born human life?

If this report is true, I notice the rest of the print/online media have yet to catch up with the news.

It is off-putting to me that he advocates some kind of global organized governmental body to deal with "global issues."

This at a time when I most urgently desire the total demise of the United Nations, on grounds of its history of through-going corruption and dereliction of duty.... Take back Turtle Bay!!!

I do not have a clue what to make of this pope.... In my fancy, he may well be Nostradamus' Peter the Roman, the LAST pope. Heaven knows, I can't tell.

Everyone needs to know that the Pope’s “infallibility” for Catholics does not apply to political, economic or scientific areas.

It applies to areas of moral teachings only.

The Pope may say “it is a sin to be wasteful” or “it is sinful to over consume or be wanton.” The Pope may not declare gravity doesn’t exist or the atom can’t be split.

He can be ignored if he says “we must reduce our carbon footprint.”

I have not read this encyclical yet. It may be a case of the liberal media twisting it as they see fit.

US Catholics ready to follow Pope's 'marching orders' on climate change

Just like they will follow him into the One World Religion spoken of in Revelation!

Another misleading MSM headline. Have they even read the encyclical? I doubt it. Environment is only a small part of it.

Besides … this is not dogma. It’s not “marching orders.” Should we take care of our planet? Sure! Is man at fault for climate change? No! We contribute a very, very small part if any. The climate has been changing since the day the earth was born. The pope should know this.

Climate change is a religion for the left. If the Catholics want to get rid of thousands of years of a religion based on God and Jesus for a hoax then let them rot.

Aren’t we methodically addressing ‘climate change’ or our need to get off of fossil fuel anyway? Speeding up the pace looks like an economic disaster - especially for developed countries - seems like insanity and now the Catholic church is involved.

The Catholic Church will pay a huge price for this position.

Notice from the Vatican Office of Translation:

Before "poor translation" is made the scapegoat of this latest encylical by the Pope , we would like to post this important announcement to the faithful worldwide.

DO NOT BLAME US!!! We do not tell our Great Papa what to say. He says it and we try to figure out what it means in Italian, let alone all the languages of the world!

We are not charged with perfection in translation. In fact, none of us speak a second language at all!

This may surprise many readers of this notice, so I will describe our role here at Vatican Central... or VeeCee, as we call it.

First, just months ago, we were all homeless on the Streets of Rome. The translation office is a jobs program for homeless Italians. Through the kindness of the Great leaders at VeeCee, 8 of us were recruited to a very fulfilling job with benefits. Many of us previously used Google Translate, so we had every qualification needed. Please note, our instructions are to get the message out fast. You may have noticed our Great Pope speaks "off the cuff" quite frequently, or as we say here in VeeCee, "between bites of pasta."

For this reason, we are not charged with accuracy, but with speed. Blinding speed. And between you and me, we are fast. We don't like to miss meals. Done is done. Good enough, is good enough.

With this in mind, please try to speak kindly of us so that we can continue in this important role.

Sincerely,
Luigi, Antonio, Giuseppe, Michael, Maria, Giovanna, Francesco, & Concetta
