• Charleston church shooting suspect Dylann Roof has been taken into custody in North Carolina, a senior law enforcement official briefed on the investigation told CNN's Deborah Feyerick.
• Roof, 21, of Lexington, South Carolina, is the suspect in Wednesday's deadly shooting at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, city police said Thursday.
• Witnesses say the suspect stood up and said he was there "to shoot black people," a law enforcement official said. The shooter is also thought to have used a handgun, according to the official.

It is possible that he IS a nutjob who really did go there to shoot black people. Sadly, in a population of 300+ mil you will have a handful of those.

That's standard practice. Including a middle name lessens confusion with innocent people who have similar names. Maybe not much of a problem with "Dylann Roof," but on the other hand there must be lot of people around named Mark Chapman or Lee Oswald.
I don't think you'll find the thugs that do that stuff at church on a Wednesday.

MSM doesn’t want to debate the evil among us because then you have to point out where the good comes from, Christ and the Holy Spirit of course. The real debate and struggle is indeed the forces of good and evil - which are colorless, genderless.
Apparently, there’s a “Dylan Roof” similar in age who wasn’t the same guy.
“Our” country? This is their country too, and I suspect that the people of this church have ancestors going back to the 1600s/1700s.
Plenty of street corners infested with gang members,and this little mutant goes to a church.
Trying to make sense out of murders like this never really satisfies our need to understand such a heinous act.

Obama is going over the history of the church in fighting for black rights. It is a “sacred place.” He is saying it is white racism without using the words. He is also talking indirectly about that the US has the power to do something about this type of violence and gun violence.
SC is a CCW state. Charlston, to my knowledge, has no law against concealed carry. I carry there many times when walking.
However, in order to carry in church, a person would probably have needed a letter stating it was permissible from the pastor.
