"People who think he's a joke and a fool need to be careful because by the end of the campaign, the joke may be on them." That's how Joe Scarborough summed up the surprisingly respectful analysis of Donald Trump's candidacy on today's Morning Joe.
Introducing the segment, Scarborough suggested that if Trump sticks to a Perot-like populist message, he could get 15% of the primary vote. When Joe turned to Steve Schmidt, this NewsBuster expected the former McCain campaign manager and establishment Republican to dump on Trump. But to the contrary, Schmidt agreed heartily with Joe and went on to make the case that Trump is channeling widespread popular resentment, is the man people would want to hear in a debate, and could be "very impactful" in the race. John Heilemann was similarly respectful of Trump's potential, saying he "doesn't play by the rules and is fearless," and receives serious, generally favorable local coverage in places like Iowa and New Hampshire.

Morning Joe surprisingly respectful of Trump: he’s saying things millions are yelling at their TV every night.
Ping to Today show list.
If Trump could get 15% of the vote in primaries, in such a crowded field, he could be a major factor going to the convention. I’m assuming here that nobody else breaks out during early primaries and caucuses to lock it up. With so many candidates out there, anyone at 15% could potentially be in first place.
Joe’s a libtard, and he and his minions would LOVE to have Trump as a 3rd party candidate . . ala Perot.
I’d like to see him fire about half of the federal government.
I recall many saying that Reagan could never win also.
And no, I am NOT saying Trump is another Reagan.
Trump dared to bring up impostor’s in WH birth certificate fraud.
Like the joke was on those who mocked Ross Perot.
The Founding Fathers did not envision that a political class of career politicians would be running our government. They envisioned that ordinary citizens would run for office, serve for a time, then go back to their former lives.
I think it could be refreshing for a non-politician to be president or serve in other offices.
Some will say Trump has no political experience, as if that should disqualify him.
Well, President Eisenhower had no political experience before he ran for president. Would anyone say that the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, who planned and executed the Normandy invasion, did not have the requisite management and executive skills to be president???
Trump’s story is different of course. But as a successful businessman who runs a business empire, who has a deep understanding of the economy and business dealings, he would bring some experiences to political office which the likes of Hillary Clinton can never have.
Trump can fund his entire campaign. That should worry the rest. He can simply take 2 billion and run around the clock campaign adds. Something the rest can not do.
If, this man gets some coaching on delivery, and a good speech writter, it will make for a real interesting time all around.
Has Trump gotten around to filing with the FEC yet?
Interesting, huh?
WH birth certificate fraud
I’m glad Congress got right on that and cleared the entire mess up.

I feel the same way....I liked what he said in his speech, he isn't running on anyone else’s dime but his own, so he's not ‘bought and paid for’, most of the GOP and demonRATS are scared to death of him, and he hasn't built a ‘nest’ in the government the way the rest of them have...
I find him refreshing, he says what he thinks, and I think he could ‘clean out our government’ of years of old rot and decay...
He's for jobs for America, not the EU, and that means food on the tables of people working 2-3 jobs a day just to do that, people don't like him because he is self-built, and he is ‘natural born citizen’ of the U.S. unlike what that crap we have in the Oval Office now...
He's smart, and if he doesn't know much about foreign policy, he will and most likely be better at it than ‘bow down to every dicitaor’ like we have now...
I'm researching him as much as I can, but I like him, I went to Ronald Reagan movies, I like them; I have watched Trumps T.V. shows and have been inside his casinos, I like them, and as far as being married 3 times, all I can say if some woman can say she's black and she's really white; and some jerk can say he's a woman when he's not....well then its ok if he's been married 3 times...
If he has it was today.
It’s probably mean of us to mock him for trying to run without filing though.
I’m trying to feel bad about that.
Did Trump ever reveal those earth-shattering findings he promised for so long?
I could go for a non-politician, but one with a strong military background. The nation needs an Eisenhower or a Patton.
