Treasury announced a redesign for the $10 bill.
Jack Lew, Treasury secretary, said by 2020, the U.S. $10 bill will feature the face of a female, in addition to that of Alexander Hamilton.
The next generation of currency, starting with the new $10 note, will include various design features that celebrate democracy, Treasury put out in a statement, the Blaze reported. In keeping with that theme, Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew has decided that the new $10 note should feature a woman who was a champion for our inclusive democracy.

Why not?!
Any more nominations out there?
Yes... the combination of sultry beauty and MENSA-level intellect: Hedy Lamarr!
Well, I glad to see Little Alex go, but I doubt that they will put Rear Admiral Grace Hooper, who is my choice, on the bill.
Alexander Hamilton wasn’t as great as people said he was, thought his killing was tragic. I would have no problem with Harriet Tubman being on the bill. To be honest, we have more important things to worry about.
Now comes the currency thing where liberals spent months demanding a "woman on the $20", even announcing Harriet Tubman as the "winner" in an online poll (of course the poll didn't include any "Keep Jackson on the $20") option, but the fedgov makes no announcement that they're going to change the $20 after all that PR dies down. They a month or two later, they make an abrupt announcement that they're putting a woman on the $10.
Hamilton’s biggest sin was undermining the Federalist party due to his petty feud with John Adams.
No matter is too small to be concerned about. Putting Elawhore Dykesevelt on money, especially the the year Shillery is running for President, would be a travesty.
The Royals have agreed to an at-slot, $1,825,200 bonus with 33rd overall selection Nolan Watson, Jim Callis of MLB.com tweets.
No kidding. The RATs would probably prefer to put HELLary herself on the money, but can't because of that pesky "no living people on currency" law. I hate the thought of FDR's ugly bucktoothed marxist wife on the money so much that I'd probably stick to using $20's and $5's in they ever put her mug on there.
My questions is can't the GOP (which, thankfully, holds BOTH houses of Congress) override the Treasury Dept. here and pass legislation about the design of the currency? It seems they always did it in the past (state quarters program, presidential dollars program, Sacajawea dollars that nobody used...) Jack Lew makes it sound like he unilaterally implemented this decision. Not so fast, bud.
Obviously it has nothing to do with "updating" the money. The Lincoln penny has had the same design for over a century and there's no campaign to change it, despite the fact that Lincoln is already on the $5 and pennies are virtually worthless in today's economy so there's been calls to eliminate the penny altogether.
No doubt if they succeed in "modernizing" the $10 bill, the next step will be to replace another President with a gay gay, then another one with a black guy, then another another with a hispanic, etc., etc. Of course no conservative historical figures will be considered. It will be a cold day in hell before Booker T. Washington ends up on the $50, for example.
FYI,
Thanks to the “presidential dollars program”, Ronald Reagan will soon be appearing on the $1 coin next year. The problem is that these coins aren’t widely circulated. I think FReepers should all buy ourselves a roll of 25 or so and start putting Reagan dollars in general circulation. Buying a candy bar? Give ‘em a Reagan!

(As an added bonus, Jimmy Carter is still alive, so there won’t be any “Carter Dollars”. If they ever do release one, I propose legislation to make the $1 carter coin worth only 3 cents)
AHahahahahahahha

Probably mild compared to mine : )
It will be a black woman, and you can take that to the bank.
Banks ain’t for money anymore. :>}
Was. Anything above a $100 is no longer in circulation, and the Federal Reserve Banks destroy any large denomination bills that happen to come through the bank.
There has to be a President Palin first, and there won't be.
Probably.
