Michael Savage, the tough-talking conservative radio show host to millions of Americans had some remarks on a few of the current candidates running for the GOP nomination. After assessing the names he ran through, he said the following on Governor Palin (who is not a current candidate):
I hate to say this, but I’m beginning to think that only Sarah Palin could save America.
I would love to see her go up against Hillary Clinton.
You think she wouldn’t stand a chance?
As far as I know, Sarah Palin’s husband didn’t make hundreds of millions of dollars while Sarah Palin was governor.
As far as I know, Sarah Palin’s children didn’t benefit to the tune of tens of millions of dollars while their mother was governor.
If she stuck to Hillary Clinton’s corruption, that would be it.
That would be the whole story.
Since 2008, many of us have felt the same way. We hope for a good candidate to surface who believes in our country and has respect for our founding documents in the same manner Governor Palin does. While 2012 disappointed, 2016 is seeming to offer more choices. Also, as Governor Palin pointed out recently, there are many more to come this year.
Considering how Mr. Savage has been critical of Governor Palin in the past, let’s hope others begin to notice what we always have as well, right after they get past most of the nonsense coming out of the mainstream media.

Sarah Palin or Jerry Brown. Either one is fine with Savage.
Me too.
But I am not going to pay any attention whatever to her as a candidate for any office until she says "I am running".
Palin is leading a movement, she hasn’t had to be a candidate since she left office 5 years ago.
And .. who talks Conservatism even stronger than Palin; and Palin is a big supporter of .. TA DA .. TED CRUZ
I wish she would run for the Senate and get some additional experience. I too hope she runs for President someday.
YES!
Yes, but should she?
And I’m tired of people claiming they are tired of so-and-so and yet taking the time to click on a link about so-and-so and even type a comment.
Thus proving that you’re not too tired of so-and-so or you wouldn’t bother with doing all of the above.
You must be able to live with a lot of cognitive dissonance in your life.
And I wish Ted Cruz would run for governor and get more experience.
And the come back and run for president someday.
Savage nails it
There is no one besides Ted Cruz that excites people the way Palin does.
And the libtards would lose their minds
Cruz doesn’t need to be a governor to be President. Governor and President are two very different positions and are executed entirely differently. I’ve read comments from Reagan and Bush that talk about that.
Jimmy Carter is a great example of how a governor does not necessarily make a good President. Do you think Obama would be better if he had been a governor? Ideology and character are the two biggest qualifications.
I haven’t waded through all the replies yet, and didn’t hear the original show(I have been trying to quit Savage, but it’s like quitting smoking is for a lot of people). But I remember very well back in 2008 how hard he was on her, and the Palin family. He said that they looked like an episode of “Cops” on the stage with McCain. For several days he urged McCain to dump her and replace with somebody else.(Don’t know if there’s any precedent for that.) he compared her unfavorably to Biden, saying at least Obama had the sense to choose someone with experience. He claims that she must have been forced on McCain, perhaps by someone trying to sabatoge him. Most embarrassingly, he put Michele Bachmann on the spot when she was a on his show, telling her her how favorably she compared to Palin. I thought that this was rude, because it put her in an awkward position—whether or not they were really friends, they did have occasion to work and appear together and he seemed to be goading her into throwing Palin under the bus. She handled it quite well, though.
Later, of course, he softened his attitude toward Palin. But I never really trusted him, when it came to her. After all a guy who worships Ivy League college degrees probably won’t take to somebody who got a degree from the University of Idaho (Big Sky conference, same as the University of Montana, where I went to college). And don’t forget that this is the guy who thinks emptying the prisons and siccing gangbangers on terrorists might be a good idea. And he has a lot of other halfbaked populist fantasies, some that contradict each other and change from day to day. No wonder he took to Trump so much.
I know what you mean. My mental health and wellbeing index goes up when I don’t listen to him. Coast to Coast is preferable.
This “must have been a governor” business is more magical thinking. Having been a governor is very good, but both bad and good presidents have had it, and there are lots of other ways of getting executive and leadership experience.
