Secretary of State John Kerry said he will meet with Chinese leaders next week for the annual U.S.-China Economic and Security Dialogue and then hold a dinner at Mount Vernon for them.
Kerry will be hosting the Chinese at Mount Vernon, the Virginia estate of George Washington, less than three weeks after the Office of Personnel Management announced that the personnel files of some four million current and former federal employees had been hacked, reportedly by the Chinese.
The secretary of State mentioned his upcoming meetings and dinner with the Chinese at Mount Vernon specifically in response to a question about the administrations negotiations with Iran that seek to get Iran to agree to restrictions on its nuclear-related activities. The Chinese are one of the P5+1 nations that are working with the administration to negotiate with the Iranians.

Hackers working for the Chinese state breached the computer system of the Office of Personnel Management in December, U.S. officials said Thursday, and the agency will notify about 4 million current and former federal employees that their personal data may have been compromised, the Post reported in a story headlined Chinese breach data of 4 million federal workers.
In a statement updated on Monday, the OPM reported that it had discovered that additional systems were compromised.

He was in Vietnam?
Sadly, Yes.
Combined General and Maryland "Freak State" PING!
Must this traiterous bastid sully everything decent about America?
Mt. Vernon is a beautiful place, but to me, it is sacred to the memory of George and Martha Washington.
I have visited there in a state of reverence, just to be in Washington’s home and to see his daily possessions, as I believe he was supernaturally ordained by God to found this nation. I am the son of an immigrant, and to be in the home of the man who founded a free nation, was a tremendous experience.
The grounds and home are beautifully restored.
That a traitorous punk like John Kerry would desecrate Washington’s home is anathema.
Kerry does not even have enough respect to stay away from such a blessed place of our heritage. Worse yet, he brings to it, the representatives of a Communistic government that enslaves its people, and which stands in opposition to all that Washington fought and sacrificed for during the founding of our nation.
Forgive me my rant, but this struck a chord with me.
Let me guess.. It was Team 0dungo who orchestrated this data transfer to the Chinese. They would’ve used another ‘Snowden’ to do it but ‘hacking’ is so easy to facilitate now.
;)
“Break a leg”
It’s a moral equivalence thing... Kerry can take them on a tour of the slave quarters and suddenly the Chinese prison factory system is OK.
I agree wholeheartedly with your “rant”. My 8YO daughter has been to Mount Vernon with some relatives. She asks us to quiz her on the experience regularly - it had an obvious positive impression on her also.
I hope Kerry leaves the meeting with a busted nose to match his leg
What I don’t understand is why heads haven’t rolled of those in government responsible for protecting this data from theft. We taxpayers are stuck with billions in bills for flawed security.
But then I didn’t understand either why heads didn’t roll after 9-11. Or why heads haven’t rolled in government after 30 million illegals have found their way into the USA.
Could there be a reason? When those in government get fired then they start to squeal about those higher up that failed to do their job and the can of worms is opened, and we can’t have accountability. So they give government workers (or contractors) a pass and no one is blamed except China, etc and our screwing goes on.
"Not surprised. He's been treasonous since Vietnam."
No.
The Chinese didn’t ‘hack’ their way in.
The doors were wide open and invitations were sent out.
All these ‘articles’ blaming it on the Chinese are just cover for our ‘leaders’ who are giving the info(in return for a ‘donation’) to the New World Order (International Corporatism).
