Real estate mogul and TV personality Donald Trump said on Tuesday he is a candidate for the Republican nomination in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
"I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created," Trump said in a launch speech at his Trump Tower skyscraper in Manhattan.

why not just go for it:
I will be the greatest ...that God ever created,” Trump said
“I’ve never been more scared of klowns, than now...”
Trump is more a leader than a politician, and better yet, he isn’t an ivy league lawyer.
I love the naming bias from AP.
“Real Estate Mogul”.
If he were a democrat one or more of this pre-name would be altered or dropped:
“Real Estate Investor”
“Reality Show Host and Real Estate Investor”
“Businessman”
etc.
there would be no “Mogul”
I hear you and realize that this man who trumpets his own horn repeatedly is seen as a joke to some. I made myself listen to his announcement - rambling at times and of course, self- aggrandizing, but he made some excellent points and backed them up with examples and I think he’s worth considering.
Never thought I’d say that - but I found myself agreeing with most everything he said - especially taking it to the political leaders that have made such reckless and stupid decisions that have hurt the U.S.A. I really believe The Donald loves this country and wants to see it great again and will wait and see how things unfold before discounting him altogether.
I like him.
And that’s a good thing, IMO!
I don’t think it’s out of the question that if he ran, he could get 20%, like Perot did.
If it comes down to Trump and the Dem candidate, Trump with be triumphant - no doubt.
Well, one thing’s for sure-he can’t possibly do any worse than the clown that’s in there now.
Yep - and the crook, Hillary, or the other dem clowns.
Time to get the self-serving lawyers out of government, especially the ones from the Ivy league. They run all branches of government and for the nation’s sake, they should never be allowed jobs outside the judiciary. Look at the mess they have made.
The old media empire, that mouthpiece for the rat party, will eviscerate Trump on every front. Mark my words.
That’s where I’m at ; “wait and see”. Mr S and I listened to his CPAC speech and were impressed. We agreed with most of what he said. He is not terribly polished, but he speaks like a businessman who wants to grow a successful business and not like a politician who just wants to grow his
power.
Very well said! I agree 100%.
That is a strong contrast to the democrat hopefuls who want to create a lavish lifestyle for themselves by running.
He was more inspiring than any of the rest, except maybe Rubio. I'll bet the phones in the republican establishment are melting with strategies being developed around how to keep him out of the debates.
