The American dream is dead, but I will bring it back: Donald Trump announces for President
Daily Mail ^ | 16 Jun 15 | Spargo & Corcoran

Donald Trump is running for president. The multi-billionaire announced his presidential plans today from his namesake tower in New York City. Trump, 69, was introduced by his daughter Ivanka as he formally declared his 2016 intentions, descending down an escalator with wife Melania to speak to the gathered crowd. In his remarks he attacked the Obama administration on everything from immigration and terrorism to Obamacare and the job market as he promised to bring back the American dream. He also released his financial information, revealing a net worth of $8.7billion.

'We need somebody that literally will take this country and make it great again. We can do that,' said Trump. I will be the greatest jobs president God ever created 'Ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States, and we are going to make our country great again.'

As for what he could do for the country, Trump said he would be the 'greatest jobs president God ever created.' He then added; 'The fact is, the American Dream is dead - but if I win, I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before.'

As for Obamacare, Trump called the program a 'disaster.' 'ObamaCare must be repealed and replaced with something far superior and at far less cost,' he said in his remarks.

Trump also put much of the focus of his speech on the issue of immigration.

The fact is, the American Dream is dead - but if I win, I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before. 'It is way past time to build a massive wall to secure our southern border - and nobody can build a bigger and better wall than Donald Trump,' said Trump.

Life is not an issue, vette.

Life is a right. There is not voting it up or down. God already voted.

Do you think Trump is a stalking horse for Pataki? Clintoon (the faux NY’er)? Just curious.

I don’t think so. As an elected official myself and a conservative it’s hard to win. The entity/government/bureaucracy is against you to start with. Every dollar spent by government goes somewhere and into someone’s pocket - salaries and benefits, contracts, etc. - and those people have a powerful vested interest in seeing you fail. They will stop at nothing - lies, trickery, etc.- are all on the table.

I’ve had to ally with Democrats to move my agenda forward. It took an enormous amount of time, but I won on nearly every item I wanted. I had to compromise, swallow junk I didn’t want, but I won. The political path isn’t a straight line from here to there.

What can we do? Keep electing the most conservative Legislatures we can, both local, state and federal. Keep exercising our rights vigorously. We’re winning on so many fronts that we cannot see the forest for the trees.

Even SSM is one where we are beginning to turn the corner thanks to the real insanity on the Left. I think we’re winning on the racism front as so many Millenials are ready to put race to bed. I am hopeful, but I always am.

We’re a nation of 300 million people and we don’t all agree on the best course, not even FReeper to FReeper.

Don’t get fooled and don’t give up hope. Read the very first verse of Luke 18.

http://biblehub.com/luke/18-1.htm

The word for ‘faint’ means to be negatively influenced with the outcome of experiencing inner weariness. Too many of us are inwardly weary. The world is wicked, more wicked than I’ve ever known. Let’s pray and no matter what never lose heart that Christ comes victorious.

I know you are a man of deep and sensitive feelings who loves God and country. Take care, FRiend.

Government regulations didn’t put your “sewing factory” out of business, foreign competition did.

Which is precisely what I said. You're wasting your time and mine. This conversation started concerning Trump's clothing line, not his fabrics. It was all about clothing and sewing plants. Textile mills, or fabric producers, actually out lasted the sewing factories because those operations were much more automated.

But they were all put out of business primarily by cheap foreign labor, quarters per hour labor. OSHA regs might or might not have added costs at some critical time, but the savings in labor were incredible going from the $10.00 per hour range to a quarters per hour, in sewing plants that usually had employees in the hundreds. And there are more savings on supplies and other inputs into the relocated factories due to cheap labor.

We can put dollars on the reduction in labor costs, but no one ever gives a number for how much all those environmental regulations supposedly cost, and how those costs shut plants down. Some just love to blame it on government regulations rather than an escape to find the world's cheapest labor.

"We don’t need Trump and he’s actually working for the establishment and status quo."

You cannot cite a plausible reference for that contention.

“I wonder sometimes though if she may be a “gray” or a demon.”

The idea of that whole agenda Hillary and all those Dems have just continuing on. Frightening.

But your comment makes me wonder, did you know Art Bell is going to be on in July? http://artbell.com/art-bells-new-show-faq/

Well,he’s sure stirred the pot here on FR this morning. I haven’t see this many posts to a thread since, since the white/ black woman was outed!

He’s more useful now to the Rats, than ever. As it turned out, he wasn’t needed for them to secure victory in 2012. The GOPe took care of that for them.

At best Trumps a grafter RINO in the vein of the Clintons. He may be far worse in the end.

You are the reason we have DemoRATs in office. I believe in the sanctity of life, but I would not withhold support on that issue alone.

Really, you don't mind that a baby is killed EVERY 24 SECONDS, but you will draw the line at a candidates party affiliation.

Over the past two decades the GOP has held the White House for eight years, the House for sixteen and the Senate for twelve. What EXACTLY has the GOP done for America in that time? Please site a single episode that you really believe one party would have handled significantly different from the other.

Maybe you can “stay home” again that that’ll show em!

Has it occurred to you that staying home makes sense when there's no palatable choice available? The struggle between the Democrats and the Republicans is not really any different than the struggles between the various factions of the Communist Party in the Soviet Union: the people involved had a lot at stake personally, but the population was going to get screwed no matter what happened.

If Trump is the right man at the right time then America’s time is clearly over.

Did you vote for Clinton, then? Cause if you vote for Trump, that’s who you’ll be voting for.

“If we had to go Trump, it could still be a 200% improvement.”

ONLY a 200 percent improvement? You really don’t like the Donald, do you? I think the average wino in the gutter would score higher than that.

“Really, you don’t mind that a baby is killed EVERY 24 SECONDS, but you will draw the line at a candidates party affiliation”

What I do mind is linking this abomination to every political candidate. This is no longer a political issue. Sadly the courts have “determined” to their everlasting shame, that abortion is some sort of “unmentioned right” in our Constitution. Abortion isn’t going to go away by virtue of those we elect. It’s only going to go away when the iniquitous citizens finally decide that it is murder. My point is that no individual presidential candidate is going to determine the end game on abortion, so to make that a litmus test for your vote simply rules out a lot of otherwise good candidates. But as always, it’s everyone’s right to decide for himself what issues are most important to him.
