Donald Trump is running for president. The multi-billionaire announced his presidential plans today from his namesake tower in New York City. Trump, 69, was introduced by his daughter Ivanka as he formally declared his 2016 intentions, descending down an escalator with wife Melania to speak to the gathered crowd. In his remarks he attacked the Obama administration on everything from immigration and terrorism to Obamacare and the job market as he promised to bring back the American dream. He also released his financial information, revealing a net worth of $8.7billion.
'We need somebody that literally will take this country and make it great again. We can do that,' said Trump. I will be the greatest jobs president God ever created 'Ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States, and we are going to make our country great again.'
As for what he could do for the country, Trump said he would be the 'greatest jobs president God ever created.' He then added; 'The fact is, the American Dream is dead - but if I win, I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before.'
As for Obamacare, Trump called the program a 'disaster.' 'ObamaCare must be repealed and replaced with something far superior and at far less cost,' he said in his remarks.
Trump also put much of the focus of his speech on the issue of immigration.
The fact is, the American Dream is dead - but if I win, I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before. 'It is way past time to build a massive wall to secure our southern border - and nobody can build a bigger and better wall than Donald Trump,' said Trump.

With nearly 9 billion dollars, finance won’t be an issue
I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take this any more.
I only need a few dollars to buy all the popcorn I need.
If he really is serious about this (and that’s a big if), don’t underestimate him. Things are just crazy enough that he could emerge as another Perot.
His 9 billion makes him a serious contender
Sorry, Donald—money won’t buy my love—or my vote.
Now I KNOW candidates walk away with a load of money.
I wouldn’t vote for him if he gave me all 9 billion.
“With nearly 9 billion dollars, finance wont be an issue”
Yeah, so he won’t be like the other “monkeys on a string” pandering to Wall Street and other big business interests. I’m glad he’s in because at the minimum, he’s going to force the rest of the GOP candidates to come out from under their various rocks and answer the tough questions.
If it gets down to Trump vs Hillary I’m voting for Trump.
In the announcement, he’s right on immigration, on jobs, on ObamaCare, and on the border fence.
I don’t know where he’s at on social issues.
He’s right on China, Trade, ObamaTrade, money manipulation, and the castration of America.
Trump over Jeb any day of the year.
Wonder who has more money?
“I wouldn’t vote for him if he gave me all 9 billion”
I would take the 9 bilion and give half to Ted Cruz.
I’m no fan of Donald Trump. He’s a brash real estate mogul and showman who speaks off the cuff, talks a good game and seems rational, but also drops a few whoppers proving he hasn’t thought some things completely through. And despite all that, America could do far worse.
He can say what he wants, but I won’t vote for him period along with Paul, Bush etc.
“I wouldnt vote for him if he gave me all 9 billion.”
I sure would.
After voting Republican for decades, it would be the first time I got anything for it!
Over the years, Trump has given about equally to both political parties. Most of his GOP donations have gone RINOs like McCain...and his RAT cash has gone to heavy hitters like Dingy Harry and Schumer.
He’s an opportunist, and his money has flowed to whichever candidate could help him the most, at any given point in time.
