Establishment Republicans desperately trying to secure the passage of Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), which would give President Obama fast-track authority to secure congressional approval of at least three secretive trade deals, are now willing to increase taxes on small businesses in a way that would violate a pledge almost every Republican Congressman has taken when elected into office.
To secure final passage through Congress of a package that would include TPA fast-track authoritywhich would ensure finalization of the secretive Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) and Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA), among other dealsthe House would need to pass the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) package that was necessary for Senate passage of TPA. The House voted TAA down 302-126 with widespread bipartisan opposition to last week, but House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)and his allies in House GOP leadership have pledged that they will try to pass it again early next week. The vote would potentially be on Monday, but more likely on Tuesdayand if there is no vote by Tuesday, its unlikely that Ryan will be able to succeed in his ploy to revive TPA.

The House Dems will come onboard once they wring some more concessions out of the Reps. We are being treated to some more political theater.
That’s my read also. The 1099 revenue increase shenanigans are ripped straight from Obamacare. Disgusting.
Yes its only June and the GOPe are already squandering their majority like there is no 2016 coming. I predict that a totally disgusted republican base just sits home. Can you say Democrat Senate and President Clinton?
I’m thinking Dem Senate & GOP POTUS but it will be close. It hardly matters outside of maybe defense when the corportists control all the big issues. Trade, Socialized medicine, etc. GOP delivers for their big donors. The bought and paid for beltway GOP just have no interest in Main Street regardless of who is in the WH.
IMO the republicans have no interest in restoring the constitutional republic. They are just attempting to assure their place at the NWO table.
The GOP have become the Pay Me party. No core values at all.
All these people need to be removed from office.
Every now and then an issue comes along, the curtain is pulled back and the pigs are revealed to be pigs. People should be paying close attention because shortly the pigs will morph back into human form and start pretending to be conservative again.
All very good observations and questions!
Get that from John Roberts did you?
And we STILL have people on other threads blaming all this on people who “stayed home” in 2012! Does that mean we should blame people who got out and voted for Republicans in 2014? I do.
The GOP were pretty forthright about their intentions up to a few months before 2010 and 2014. Everyone should have known all this was coming. Everyone said, “we’ll vote for Republicans and hold their feet to the fire.” I couldn’t understand why anyone thought that was going to work. In 2016 we’ll get the same happy-talk. Not in 2018 though. By then the GOP will break their pledge not to ban election.
No doubt, as we get closer to elections we shall see the “lessor evil” nonsense.

They haven’t quit. Please don’t let your attention wander to other things while they sabotage our sovereignty. This is still the most important issue out there.

Show me what I've posted that isn't true? Which reply, exactly?
...you dont have the courage to say what is your agenda.
Helping to inform others about the issue is an "agenda"?
True. I concede the point.
Outside of the person being a candidate...it doesn't matter who did it only that it was done/is being done. There wouldn't be nearly as much angst now of there were not an election coming up.
