I don't see what the big deal is supposed to be. For one thing, if we let people self-identify their gender, allow roosters to marry roosters and hens to marry hens, then why shouldn't we allow people to self-identify by race?

For another, if it is so cool to have a self-identified black guy (actually 3/8th at most) run a country which is 87% non-black, then why shouldn't it be equally cool to have a non-black gal run a single chapter of the NAACP?

They don't require a blood-test to join the DAR, just proof of service of an ancestor in the American Revolution.
