The parents of a Spokane, Washington, NAACP chapter president came forward on local television to tell the community and now nation: Our daughter, who says she’s black, is actually white.
The interview’s played out since in national media.
Ruthanne and Larry Dolezal told 11ALive’s Spokane, Washington, sister station, KREM 2 News, their daughter, Rachel Dolezal, is of German and Czech ancestry.
In a tweet, KREM’s Taylor Viydo wrote: “Dolezal’s parents, who live in Troy, MT, say Rachel has been deceiving people. They want people to know the truth.”

This is another Ward Churchill hoax as well as everything else.
Is it racist to insist that I be pigeonholed into the (apparent) ethnicity that I had at birth, and not the ethnicity that I self-identified later in life?

It gets even better. Ms. Dolezal is a professor of African-American Studies at Eastern Washington University. Hmm...wonder what box she checked on the application ala Lizzie Lieawatha?

Instantly her entire emotional world changes from a position of proud membership in an oppressed class to the crushing weight of 400 years of guilt. Fortunately for her she has her White Privilege to comfort her. Think of it: now she can get any job she wants instead of being stuck in a six-figure job in a hate factory, bankers will be falling over themselves to give her free money, and she can steal her entire living from the sweat of the brow of the minority classes! Gosh, it’s sure great to be white.

The government actually has a form(or did have in 2003)whereby you can “change” you race. When I worked as a civilian employee for the Air Force in the civilian personnel directorate,there were on two separate occasins white guys who came in to my office wanting to be classified as “Native Americans”. To my surprise we had such forms available. I guess these guys didn’t believe that “white privilege” benefitted them. Months later, a black guy came in wanting to be classified as white(I’m not kidding)for religious reasons. He belonged to a black religious cult in Georgia called the Nuwabians. I kept a straight face, believe it or not. Such is the weird world of civil service.
Putting a clean towel in a mud puddle doesn’t make the mud cleaner.
Let’s cut her some slack. She’s probably an expert in the centuries old afro-centric culture/heritage things, like oh, say, kwanzaa. Hmmm. Wasn’t there someone else who recently declared that they had always felt that they were negroid. Facts don’t matter as a matter of fact. Uh, they do in my house. (”Hands Up, Don’t Drown”)
