This is the same as the busing for integration schemes of the late sixties and seventies. The lib argument was that blacks couldn't learn unless they had white kids sitting next to them in the school classrooms. How racist is that?

This argument is just as nutty and just as doomed to failure. All it will do is degrade good neighborhoods and force people to move away from the sure to follow crime and neighborhood deterioration.

Absolutely. Because their premise of "greater opportunity" is false - there is no opportunity in the burbs - that's why everyone drives to jobs an hour or more away.

The amount of infrastructure that would be needed to be created to "achieve" the published goals is crazy.

Then again, perhaps THAT is the goal, more government and more government control with a side of taking down conservative strongholds.
