Washington, DC1031 Despite staying largely silent on the issuehes quietly supported it for weeks, but hasnt said anything at all in quite a long timeWisconsin Gov. Scott Walker crossed most conservatives by coming out in support of Obamatrade on Thursday evening in an interview with Bloombergs Mark Halperin.
Walker, Bloombergs Halperin and John McCormick wrote, expressed agreement with President Barack Obama on the pressing issue of fast-track trade legislation.
Walker said he supports giving Obama the authority to submit trade agreements to Congress for an expedited, up-or-down vote without amendments, they wrote, before quoting Walker himself.
If we dont go down this path, were going to be at a competitive disadvantage, and so I think it just makes sense, Walker said.

Jeff Sessions is a very solid conservative that has earned my admiration and respect for many years. Cruz is running around saying he is a conservative because of one filibuster. I supported his filibuster, but now realize it was showmanship to earn conservative trust. He has now lost my trust completely. I stand with Jeff.
Can we forget the Republicans now?

Yup.
Is he still alive?
He’ll be 85 this June 27th.
“Ill give Cruz a chance to explain himself. I dont believe Walker has a multifaceted conservative history to warrant a second look.”
Every one of these traitors has had ample time to “explain” themselves and what it is about this bill that they support. They will not because even they don’t know what is in it and they are going to vote for it anyway, just like Obamacare. This nation has been “fundamentally transformed” just as promised. When Obama uttered his promise to do that, it was probably the last true statement you will ever hear from a politician.
Now that all roads to restore America have pretty much come to a dead end; let those who wonder what’s next read Deuteronomy 28. It has been posted here on FR and its a true account of what we face now and WHY!
Big business and the C of C means everything to our GOP leaders. That is what the Dems always said. I guess it is true. We need to change the country club culture and I think we need to do it by opposing everything they want in the form of business breaks and taxes. In fact we should support raising their taxes until they stop stabbing us in the back.
whatever obama is fer - Im agin.
Well said. Unbelievable that so little has been learned from dealing with Obama over the years. This man can not be trusted.
You can bet that America’s best interests are not protected if Obama is involved. The secrecy involved is enough to nix this whole thing and the “must pass before knowing what’s in it” suggestion is outrageous.
What he is saying abut this bill is immensely disturbing. The fact that the worst, most divisive and destructive president ever wants and supports it makes it triply disturbing.
Unless these two conservative candidates give us a very detailed explanation of why Sessions observations about the bill are wrong, I'm going to stay in his camp on this.
I hope one or both of these great candidates can truthfully persuade conservatives why this bill is right, because unless they can do so, they are going to earn the scorn of the base they need so badly.
All of the sudden Donald Trump is looking better. He is against this.
Cruz and Walker are no more to me.
Ok, how do you figure?
Typical liberal tactic.
Move to discredit someone that doesn’t walk in lock step with the guy ready to surrender power and the law to Cruz’s buddy Obama.
Anybody is free to feel however they want and there is nothing wrong with feeling betrayed when a politician that many of us believed in and donated to does the opposite of what he said his principles were.
Cruz has voted to surrender the Senate’s powers to Obama. He has voted to take away any members’ consititional right to offer amendments to Obama. He has voted to take away the filibuster from any member of congress.
Cruz is not only fine with threatening members of congress and hiding agreements that are supposedly so great, but he then has the audacity to look us all in the face and say he didn’t do what he just did.
I believed in Cruz and I believed the words he spoke, until his actions proved to me that Cruz is nothing but a liar and he is obviously bought and paid for.
And don’t offer me your false-choice tactic either. I don’t have to pick a candidate today for an election 17 months away just because I have eliminated your liar Ted Cruz. You are free to vote for the next person that would move you a step closer to enslavement if you want.
With a little more turmoil, we can point to the Dim’s “Hope & Change”, and how it’s affected the country.
From what I’ve read about the Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) and the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), I’m not as concerned about TPA as I am TPP. Unfortunately, the provisions in TPA may make it easier to ram TPP through and that is my concern since there are apparently provisions that may bring about carbon taxes and immigration reforms that I’m against in TPP. I would be more inclined to trust TPA with a GOP president, but not with the current corrupt administration in charge.
I don't know if they can persuade conservatives that the bill is right, but at the very least they need to persuade conservatives that they aren't "sellouts" or "liars" to the cause. I don't believe that they are and that there is a reasonable explanation for their current thinking on this.
What I know for a fact is that neither Trump or Paul are a solution for anything! And until Senator Sessions throws his hat into the ring for POTUS, Cruz (and Walker) are the best we got.
Absolutely true.
Right...and his previous record in the Senate proves your point. LOL.
