Washington, DC1031 Despite staying largely silent on the issuehes quietly supported it for weeks, but hasnt said anything at all in quite a long timeWisconsin Gov. Scott Walker crossed most conservatives by coming out in support of Obamatrade on Thursday evening in an interview with Bloombergs Mark Halperin.
Walker, Bloombergs Halperin and John McCormick wrote, expressed agreement with President Barack Obama on the pressing issue of fast-track trade legislation.
Walker said he supports giving Obama the authority to submit trade agreements to Congress for an expedited, up-or-down vote without amendments, they wrote, before quoting Walker himself.
If we dont go down this path, were going to be at a competitive disadvantage, and so I think it just makes sense, Walker said.

I say he’s traitor what say you?
Cruz said he voted for TPA (fast track) because that is the only way trade bills go through, but he may not necessarily vote for TPP until he reads what is in it. Sessions is saying that anyone voting for TPA (fast track) is ensuring this sails through.
I’ll take Sen Jeff Sessions word
I honestly don’t know what to think anymore - I just feel sick in the pit of my stomach at all of these politicians. However, one thing I’ll say - whatever obama is fer - I’m agin. (a little hillbilly humor here).
Why is there so much confusion over this bill? Why didn’t the GOP get out front and explain why secrecy was necessary, what the process is, what the bill does?
They thought they could just cram it down our throats and they were right, apparently.
Me too and I’m deeply disappointed in Cruz, expected as much from Walker. Whatever Zero is fear, I’m agin’.
Yeah. Like with obamacare. “Trust us”. Right.
This whole thing on TPA/TPP has been raised to completely unnatural heights. Who needs the liberal media when our own people will eat alive the two main conservative alternatives to the Establishment.
Cruz offered an Explanation and reasoning for his support of TPA. He opposes the secrecy of TPP. He has rightfully pointed out the vast misinformation over this bill. The secrecy is the big problem with TPP that most conservatives, including Cruz oppose. The rest of the people here fighting it on “free trade” are isolationist and protectionists and can easily be traced to RuPaul or Donald Chump.
As for Walker supporting TPA, I’m not surprised. The Union thugs are vehemently opposed to this and he has been fighting them (and winning) in WI for like 6+ years now. It would look a lot stranger if he was on the same side with the Union thugs after kicking their a$$e$ so badly on Right to Work years ago.
Anyone that listened to the Cruz or Walker interviews and thinks these people are traitors or bought and paid for globalist/corporatists garbage need to turn in their voter registration cards and never vote again. This election is too important for ignorance to rein supreme.
I will go by Cruzs and Walkers past actions, political acumen and accomplishments.

I agree.
I think real leadership is knowing the right thing to do, and doing it. I think of Steve Jobs, REagan, Bush with the surge etc.
Some people whom we ALL here admire, Walker, Cruz etc are for this bill. It’s up to them to take a leadership position on this. I don’t see any value in second guessing them on something the rest of know nothing about.
Great post.
Our forefathers would be shooting by now.
The more general turmoil by November, 2016, the better for Republicans to take back the Presidency.
Hate to say it but I think Drudge is driving a lot of the misinformation about this issue, although I’m no sure why. What your saying makes sense though. There’s no reason these guys would piss off the conservative base over the issue. In particular Walker, who’s not even in Congress.
I don’t think it’s been handled well by the republican leadership though, but nothing new there.
Too bad, I am done with both.
They’re in that beltway bubble; they need better intelligence about what’s happening/ being said outside of DC.
And if they did know and just ignored it, they’re feeling the “biting them in the butt” now.
Yep.
I was undecided as to whether I could support Walker.
No longer undecided.
Will not support.
I’ll give Cruz a chance to explain himself. I don’t believe Walker has a multifaceted conservative history to warrant a second look.
We don't need FAST TRACK and a secret bill. Because he says he is a conservative, we are supposed to believe him. I'll believe Jeff Sessions any day over Cruz.
Sessions is right given the low number of votes needed for passage.
