Jeff Sessions Issues Final 'Critical Alert': Obamatrade Just Like Amnesty, Obamacare
Breitbart ^ | 11 Jun 2015 | MATTHEW BOYLE

Posted on 06/11/2015 5:30:41 PM PDT by xzins

Sessions’ final “critical alert,” one of several he’s issued throughout the Obamatrade process, shows House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)60% has been engaged in deception as he attempts to guide Obamatrade’s passage through the House.

“Promoters of fast-track executive authority have relied on semantic obfuscation in an effort to deny the obvious: the President’s top priority is obtaining fast-track authority because he knows it will expand his powers and allow him to cement his legacy through the formation of a new political and economic union,” Sessions said.

The authority granted in “Trade Promotion Authority” is authority transferred from Congress to the Executive and, ultimately, to international bureaucrats. The entire purpose of fast-track is for Congress to surrender its power to the Executive for six years. Legislative concessions include: control over the content of legislation, the power to fully consider that legislation on the floor, the power to keep debate open until Senate cloture is invoked, and the constitutional requirement that treaties receive a two-thirds vote. Legislation cannot even be amended.

“By contrast, without fast-track, Congress retains all of its legislative powers, individual members retain all of their procedural tools, and every single line, jot, and tittle of trade text is publicly available before any congressional action is taken,” Sessions said.

Another obfuscation is the suggestion that TPP doesn’t yet exist. To the contrary, it has been under negotiation for six years and lawmakers can enter a closed-door, walled-off chamber to review it.

“The so-called negotiating objectives in the fast-track bill are merely for show,” Nucor Steel chairman emeritus Dan DiMicco says, according to Sessions. “The President can and does sign the agreement before Congress views or votes on it.”

Ask parksstp is he’s employed by a candidate, party or if he is otherwise employed as a lobbying agent in the political sphere.

Joe Biden’s been caught for lifting “verbatim” the same talking points.

So what’s your excuse?

It’s no secret you’re all lifting the exact same wording from the same site and are too lazy to change the words. Or are you using a proxy and logged in under different ID’s?

Who is your candidate for President then? None of you people who bash Cruz over this ever give out a name. Interesting.

“cruz is off my list. He sold out the American people.”

If anyone is currently working for his campaign, they need to quit now and let the campaign know why.

"Our engineering staff is the best and brightest. They are being laid off because of the “unspoken of” corporate age discrimination."

Yup, I got laid off when I turned 60. Funny how that works.

"Cruz Mega-Donor is Gay, Pro-Pot Billionaire"

So.

What his political philosophy and what does he expect for the financial support?

1. My typos are all mine and nobody else’s
2. Facts are facts so if your Obama lap boy Cruz gets called out over and over again maybe that is because it is all TRUE?
3. Eliminating one Traitor, Cruz, brings us all one step closer to finding our worthy candidate. Nobody has to make their final decision just because they eliminated an untrustworthy person in Cruz.
4. There are plenty of other worthy folks to consider. Our side is deep.
5. You are perfectly allowed to vote for and support the next person that will further enslave you if you want.

The Senate can change any fast-tracked item as long as they get 60 votes.

"So. What his political philosophy and what does he expect for the financial support?"

Most of us don't really want to focus much on the mental imagery of what some big campaign funding sources and their politicians' supporters want.

Yeah, isn't that the sh*ts? It used to be that in order for a treaty to pass, you had to get a two-thirds vote. Now in order to stop a piece of crap, the Senate must come up with 60 votes. The WH has reversed rolls putting itself in the place of Congress. 40 votes can stop any amendments or changes.

"Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t TPA require a 60 vote super majority to defeat subsequent Obama trade deals, like TPP, that have unacceptable features? That’s quite a hurdle to jump which probably explains why none of these fast tracked things have ever been defeated."

Absolutely and this paid troll is lying to you.

TPA ensures that any agreement submitted to Congress requires only a 51 vote majority to pass in the Senate.

And no amount of votes can keep it from taking place. The vote will occur.

"Although Congress cannot explicitly transfer its powers to the executive branch, the 1974 trade promotion authority had the effect of delegating power to the executive, minimizing consideration of the public interest, and limiting the legislature's influence over the bill to an up or down vote:[18]

It allowed the executive branch to select countries for, set the substance of, negotiate and then sign trade agreements without prior congressional approval.

It allowed the executive branch to negotiate trade agreements covering more than just tariffs and quotas.

It established a committee system, comprising 700 industry representatives appointed by the president, to serve as advisors to the negotiations. Throughout trade talks, these individuals had access to confidential negotiating documents. Most members of Congress and the public had no such access, and there were no committees for consumer, health, environmental or other public interests.

It empowered the executive branch to author an agreement's implementing legislation without Congressional input.

It required the executive branch to notify Congress 90 days before signing and entering into an agreement, but allowed unlimited time for the implementing legislation to be submitted.

It forced a floor vote on the agreement and its implementing legislation in both chambers of Congress; the matters could not "die in committee."

It eliminated several floor procedures, including Senate unanimous consent, normal debate and cloture rules, and the ability to amend the legislation.

It prevented filibuster by limiting debate to 20 hours in each chamber.

It elevated the Special Trade Representative (STR) to the cabinet level, and required the Executive Office to house the agency.

The 1979 version of the authority changed the name of the STR to the U.S. Trade Representative.[18]

The 2002 version of the authority created an additional requirement for 90-day notice to Congress before negotiations could begin.[18]

May God richly bless Senator Jeff Sessions, and Breitbart News, and all the others who have done such a yoeman’s job of exposing this anti-American, unconstitutional TPA/TPP atrocity. Pray that the trans-nationalist train derails in Congress.

He’s stood strong on immigration and on this trade agreement far more than any Republican on the national level. Why isn’t this man running for president? That’s a very good question.
