Gov. Scott Walker (Wis.) is open to the idea of teaming up with Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) on a GOP presidential ticket, he told Bloomberg on Thursday.
I do like Marco Rubio, I think he and I have similar thoughts on national defense and foreign policy, Walker, who is weighing a 2016 run, said in an interview on Bloomberg's With All Due Respect.
Asked by Bloombergs Mark Halperin if he would be open to announcing in December that the two of them would run as a ticket, and settle who would be the nominee for president and vice president later, Walker replied that some supporters had pitched that idea.
I've actually had quite a few people, grassroots supporters, donors, and others, who have made that suggestion, Walker said.
For now, you know, Marco is a quality candidate. He's going to be formidable in this race as things progress. And if we were to get in, we'd be as well, and we'll see where things take us.
He added that he and Rubio have joked that people mention the two possibly pairing up and said they would likely have to arm wrestle over who would be top of the ticket."

More and more it comes down to Cruz and Cruz alone
Cruz Martinez 2016
Scott Walker = NWO
This is very discouraging news.
The elites want amnesty, come Hell or high water.
Ted Cruz REMAINS the only true Conservative in this race.
~~Cruz, OR LOSE~~
We could do worse, folks.
Anyone who supported #TPA is not getting my vote-PERIOD.
“it comes down to Cruz and Cruz alone”
It’s been the only choice for me from the start.
A bit premature to be picking running mates.
Not worried.... I’ll vote twice to make up for your loss.
~~Cruz, OR LOSE~~ Ted Cruz is the only true Conservative in this race.
Governor, you don’t have to do this pandering! Walker is still acceptable in my book, but he just went down a notch.
This makes CRUZ look line the PREFERRED CHOICE.
Someone say something good about the Cruz TPA deal. Seems like a deal breaker
Right, because St. Raphael is going to run alone. Maybe he’ll go old school Constitution, repeal the 12th Amendment and make Hill his veep.
Very true!
Walker/Bush
Bush/Walker
I don't support Rubio because of his sell-out on illegal immigration, but Walker/Rubio would be a powerful ticket.
Agreed.
Not great to pair up with a pro-amnesty RINO.
