Help! Even though it's early I've thrown my weight behind Ted Cruz already. Now I'm getting VERY nervous that I've been duped with his position on this trade bill.
What is going on? Free Republic has alot of clout; somehow we have got to flush this out of him and either clarify it was a really bad frickin dream or throw him to the trash pile and get behind someone else.
Anyone have clarity on this?
I’m torn on this. Support of something that 0bie admits allows him to advance his Global Warming agenda, goes against everything I am for.
I do know this...
Sen Jeff Sessions is against it.
Mark Levin is against it.
Gov Bobby Jindal is against it.
Drudge is against it.
Breitbart.com is against it.
*****
0bie is for it.
Lyin’ Paul Ryan is for it.
Something just doesn’t smell right, on this.
He is running for President. He is expanding his map. He is winning Conservative polls. He is raking in the money.
Now, stop whining, do your homework and relax.
cruz or lose.
"Cruz or Lose"
to
"With Cruz YOU Lose"
THis is ObamaCare redux...? ONly creepier.
GREAT reply, thank you.
Trying to battle the agendas and ignorance on this page is staggering.
You can post what you want about Cruz and the truth about TPA, but those with an agenda will still not buy it.
Cruz is winning. It scares them.
Keep up the fight!
Then, who is right on it?
Well, what about traitors Perry and Walker?
Are you in denial too? Tell me, who do you support?
Curious...who is your leading candidate at the moment. I realize this could change, but who would be your #1 pick.
I have been for Cruz but do not understand his position on this. Seems like a self-inflicted wound. Can’t imagine any second choice, maybe Santorum again, who couldn’t even carry his own VA precinct.
Ok...good pick. I don’t completely understand Ted Cruz’s position, but I will be calling his office for clarification.
Ted Cruz is my favorite Libertarian.

You either forgot your sarc tag; was thinking of Rand Paul; or have no clue what a Libertarian is.
Why does Cruz support TPA and TPP?
Please include immigration policy/impact in the answer.
TIA
You either forgot your sarc tag; was thinking of Rand Paul; or have no clue what a Libertarian is.You terribly fail to fundamentally understand the man whom you support daily to attain the highest elected office in the land. So let me help you...
Cruz: I actually think this is a great embodiment of what Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis called the laboratories of democracy.Mitt Romney liberally employed this phrase in 2012,...
As Cruz noted, Brandeis originally coined the laboratories of democracy phrase. But why this didnt instantly ring loud alarm bells for Cruz is an open question. Brandeis, who was appointed to the Supreme Court by Woodrow Wilson in 1916 and served until 1939, was an ardent Progressive and rejected the constitutionalism of the American founders. He disdained any ideas of unchanging, permanent truths and instead, following John Deweys theory of experimentalism, posited that the scientific method should be the central idea that animates public policy.
...Brandeiss politics, of which his jurisprudence was a subset, is best described as follows: The reformers role was to guide the forces of social experimentation and thus to direct change along the lines of evolution rather than revolution. Because Brandeis believed in slow processes of evolutionary change rather than the quick, violent change of revolution, he subscribed to the social Darwinism of the Left, of which Lester Frank Ward was an early proponent.
Cruz is the closest thing we have to a 100% conservative running so far. Yes he is wrong on the trade bill and the H1B1 visa’s, but compared to Bush, Graham and the rest of the field aside from Walker he is head and shoulders above the rest. A candidate that is 85% conservative is far better than the luke-warm bilge the Republicans have been shoveling since 1988.
Free trade just happens to be a bulwark of conservatism, with all the necessary provisions and safeguards. The easiest thing would be for Ted Cruz to change his position for political reasons, something that Ted Cruz doesn’t do. He is still by far the best candidate we’ve had running for president for decades.
No one could have read it all if it is 6700 pages long. That's why it's under lock and key, so that it can't be handed over to their staffs to pour over the whole thing.
I haven't talked to my wife in months. It's not that I don't love her. It's just that I hate to interrupt.
If Sen. Cruz votes for this, he is toast,
and every sentient conservative will work against
the miserable Obama-empowering fool.
Take a chill pill. Free trade in itself is a good thing, as long as proper checks and balances are instituted. Our top tech firms like Apple, Intel, Microsoft etc make more money from outside the US then in the US. Without e,ports Boeing would be but a shadow of itself.Ted Cruz will be just fine.
