▼Dallas-area police union official denounces 'those set on creating racial tensions' over pool party incident
The Dallas-area police officer criticized for aggressively handling teenagers at a pool party, shown in a viral video, has gone into hiding and "apologizes to all who were offended," his attorney said Wednesday..
McKinney Police Cpl. Eric Casebolt had been emotionally unsettled by two suicide calls he had handled shortly before responding to calls of trespassing and assault at a raucous pool party Friday evening, his police union attorney, Jane Bishkin of Dallas, told reporters in a televised news conference.
~snip~
In the first suicide call, a man had shot and killed himself in front of his children and his family, and Casebolt consoled the man's wife while securing the body and the scene, said Bishkin, who said that the dead man was African American.
In the second suicide call, Casebolt had to calm a teenage girl who was threatening to jump off her parents' roof, and she was safely taken to a hospital, Bishkin said.
Erics compassion during these two incidents are a testament to his character," Bishkin said. The nature of these two suicide calls took an emotional toll an Eric Casebolt."

We armchair quarterbacks can play the game of "He should have known better", but cops often do not have the luxury of getting everything perfect every time.
He might have been a very good cop under most circumstances, now thanks to his behavior, hes never going to be a cop again.
I think a body cam would have exonerated his behavior. What we have here is perspective controlled footage which some people have interpreted as supporting a particular position. This is what the media normally does when they destroy someone, and now we are seeing this tactic being used by others. (With of course, the Media helping.)
I think Cops hate the idea of wearing cameras, but I suspect they will come to love it more and more as civilization slowly collapses.
That young woman isn’t worth crap as a party/event planner-I wouldn’t pay her to plan a sheep shearing for me. One of my neighbors runs a party planning service from her home-she does catering and makes cakes for weddings, etc too-and since even here in the wilds of BFE, there are a few gated enclaves where the lawyers and such live, one of the first things she does is get a copy of the rules and restrictions of the HOA-especially those concerning the pool and other amenities-of a subdivision before she ever does a party for a customer there...
The Police Chief of McKinley, Tx is a coward and a backstabbing fool.
Hope the whole police force quits, throw their badges and guns in a trash can, give their Chief the finger, and say to the black rabble, “this city is all yours”.
NO excuses. We have experts on police work here on FR who have determined this cop is eeeeeevil, and deserves to have absolutely NO slack cut.
Never mind he was one of three cops surrounded by angry thugs.
The COP is the problem, not the thugs. Even the chief of police is glad he is gone, so that is the final word.
(by the way, I think the above thinking is utter balderdash, but just wanted to get in the POV of the “blame the cop” crowd)
There is a video one of the mother's (Kisa Jackson) made, she said the officer had told all of them to leave, yellow bikini refused to leave after being told about 3 times, she turned and said something to the officer, but I don't know what it was. He began to initiate an arrest by grabbing her arm and she began pulling away.
Thanks.
Thanks for the info-—I thought it might be something like that. I can’t imagine what frame of mind I might be in, after experiencing the horrors of his day up to that pool party incident. The problem we are in now, is that there’s a grievance industry out there that will milk EVERY incident for all it’s worth, conflating this pool party with Michael Brown, Eric Garner, etc. etc. It’s all part of being six plus years into living in Obamanation.
And by the way, the cornerstone case in all this of course, is Michael Brown and Ferguson. How far they were willing to
take that, even when all the lies were exposed, should be an indication of what to expect, as the weeks and months rolled on. Ferguson was a mighty flimsy hook to hang one’s hat on, if one wants to prove police brutality and the inherent and ineradicable “racism” of police in general. Yet it was the only hook that presented itself, and it doesn’t matter that the hat fell off in a matter of weeks; they chose not to notice. And I say all this as one who is fully aware of the REAL problems that exist and get WORSE day by day, between Law Enforcement and the rest of us.
Oh yeah, I just heard her making a statement on local radio, sounded like completely lawyer-scripted affair.
What I find interesting is the local race pimps talking about how “those children had every right to be there” in a private, HOA pool.
Yeah, they were cool until Tatiana and her DJ started charging $15 a head to get into a private pool. Hell she was selling her services as hairdresser for the other chicks specifically for that event. Yeah, poor mistreated BLACK GIRL. Racism, I tell you.
Her and her momma live in the neighborhood now, but they are from Chicago. So much wrong with this story.
He doesn’t need any rehabilitation. If he still wants a job as an LEO, he will most certainly be hired by another agency.
They have gotten wose, and it isn’t anything to do with race, either-it is a combination of too many years of giving cops a free pass, along with equipment that I don’t think should be in the hands of anyone outside the military-then add in the race baiters and their disciples-of all ethnicities-who think they are above the law.
The county seat of less than 900 people-also the only real, incorporated township-in this county was the only place with a city PD-and one of the top tourist attractions in a county with B&Bs, dude ranches, shops etc that depend on the tourist trade-especially bikers who like the scenic country roads, and snowbirds who spend the winters here on the river. The PD got really heavy handed with the tourist DUI and ither arrests-even stooping to extortion-and about three years ago, that led to a decrease in tourism and revenue-so the cith got rid of the PD, and hired a town marshal instead-end of problem...
Pardon-that should be “other” and “city”...

She gets it-it looks like most in that subdivision do-I just wish they were getting more press coverage instead of the riot instigators...
“I think Cops hate the idea of wearing cameras, but I suspect they will come to love it more and more as civilization slowly collapses.”
I live in a small, fairly conservative (I know your gonna laugh) community in Northern California. All of our cops have them already. and you know what, when you speak to any one of them, they shake your hand and try to behave in a manner not unlike the rest of us. My guess is that the chief takes a look at his officers daily interactions with the public so they know they need to put their best foot forward. Cameras are a good thing for everyone involved.
You're smarter than that.No, I'm not!
Wait....
Having the people watch the authorities is always a good idea. Having the authorities watch the people? Not so much.
“Having the people watch the authorities is always a good idea. Having the authorities watch the people? Not so much.”
But consider that by having bodycams, they are actually being watched by the citizens. Their bodycams are continually taking “selfies.”
Now these car-mounted license plate readers need to go. They are, to my mind, violating the Constitution, just like the Patriot Act.

I betcha that is why the hostess/instigator has lawyered up.
