Investigators examining last month's fatal crash of an Amtrak train in Philadelphia now believe they know whether the engineer was using his phone when the derailment happened, a source with knowledge of the probe said Wednesday.
The source didn't reveal the National Transportation Safety Board investigators' conclusions. But the NTSB is expected to make an announcement about the crash at 9 a.m. ET Wednesday.

Thank you. What was the announcement? He didn’t use phone? Seems they “should” have had that info weeks ago, but maybe I am wrong in how these things work.
So, for the time after the wreck AND leading up to it... he can't account for what happened?
If he reached and maintained the excessive speed for SEVERAL MINUTES (AND MANY MILES) leading up to the wreck... there is no way for him to account for THAT?
I had a car wreck and rolled my car over. I was not conscious for several minutes after the collision. But-I recall everything leading up to the wreck in VIVID detail. It's burned in my brain, it all was happening in slow mo....like a movie I'll never forget
Well I think it was just like a teenager who gets the sudden urge to race which he did regardless of the fact that he was not driving a car but a trainload of passengers.
Couldn’t it be shock/some sort of amnesia. “Trouble remembering” sounds like Hillary.
No one can. It is a common occurrence with car wrecks and such.
If he reached and maintained the excessive speed for SEVERAL MINUTES (AND MANY MILES) leading up to the wreck... there is no way for him to account for THAT?
No, he remembers that just fine. The effect only inhibits perhaps a minute or so prior to be rendered unconscious. He will most certainly remember what happened 5 minutes before he was knocked out.
But as he knows exactly why he throttled up that train while heading into a curve, he's just pretending to not remember.
He was trying to kill himself and everybody else. As is common for Homosexuals, he was trying to commit suicide, but in this case, he wanted to take a bunch of people with him, ala the "German Wings" Pilot who deliberately crashed himself and his passengers into the ground. (Also reported to be Homosexual.)
Again, I will remind people that this Engineer was a Homosexual. I will also remind people that suicide is the number one cause of death for Homosexuals.
One does not race "like a teenager" into a known 50 mph curve at a speed of 105 mph. This was not a thrill, this was a full well known attempt to crash the train.
That could very well be. I wouldn’t discount anything.
While there has been a lot of speculation as to the sexual orientation of Andreas Lubitz, nothing in his background really proves that he was gay or that gayness had anything to do with why he decided to crash the plane. He was however bat sh!t crazy and with prior serious episodes of depression and feelings of self aggrandizement and flights of fantasy and phycosemantic illnesses which should have alone have kept him from flying. There are a lot of bat sh!t crazy people in this world and FWIW, and not all of them are gay. Just saying.

No, there are "batsh!t crazy people" who are not gay, but all gay people are "batsh!t crazy." Perhaps not in an objectionable way to most people, but none the less, you cannot be "sane" and feel the need to sodomize members of the same sex.
A lot of people consider them "harmless" crazy, but virtually everyone knows in their heart that there is something "wrong" with these people; That they are swimming against nature's stream.
As for "Tomato Andy" (apparently German slang for "gay" because people think it's a vegetable but it's really a fruit") He was a flight steward(ess) before he became a pilot. There are reports that other pilots thought he was gay, so I would say there is sufficient reason to believe/suspect he was.
But about that railroad Engineer who increased speed to 105 mph before heading into that curve, it has been confirmed that he is a Homosexual.
Frankly, I believe zero of what the federal government says...I think it has the credibility of Jay Gatsby.
I’m still sticking with my initial theory that he’s a gay who went into a diva snit and did it on purpose. He was upset over hours and safety issues and gee whiz, he does it right before the vote on the transportation bill so Repubs could take the blame.
BINGO!
... like sleep.
OK so he wasn’t distracted. More evidence this was intentional.
That reminds me: Being that gays are allowed to join the Navy now do they say “oooo” with excitement every time they are called “Seamen”?
"The (American Psychiatric Association) trustees were not prepared to go that far, but they did vote to remove homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses by a vote of 13 to 0, with 2 abstentions. This decision was confirmed by a vote of the APA membership, and homosexuality was no longer listed in the seventh edition of DSM-II, which was issued in 1974."
Maybe not bat**** crazy, but homosexuals were considered mentally ill in 1973 but considered perfectly normal in 1975. If anyone in a medical specialty other than psychiatry ever proposed eliminating lung cancer or heart disease by voting that it was perfectly normal, he or she would be considered bat**** crazy.
I have no idea what Mr. Bostian was doing while driving that train 106 MPH, and even if he wasn't using his cell phone, it's clear that the job he was being paid to do job wasn't it.
Same reason as the “German Wings” Airplane crash. A Despondent Homosexual felt the need to kill himself and his passengers, so he increased speed to crash the train.
This makes sense was the homosexuality comfirmed?
So was the train on auto-pilot while he was blowing a guy in the bunk room?
> That reminds me: Being that gays are allowed to join the Navy now do they say oooo with excitement every time they are called Seamen?
Would be a shame if you sprayed one with seal scent then accidentally knocked them overboard....: )
