A police officer in the Dallas-Fort Worth area has been suspended after video footage emerged that shows him wrestle a bikini-clad girl to the ground and then point his gun at a group of unarmed teenagers.
The incident happened after McKinney Police Department received several calls on Friday night about a disturbance near the Craig Ranch North Community Pool.
Cell phone footage of the incident shows one officer arrive at the scene and start overreacting in a manner that does little to defuse the situation.

Have you been shot at? I have. Have you ever been stabbed? I have. I have seen teenagers kill a lot of good men without hesitation or reservation, and with out any remorse. This cop, good or bad, was faced with a life or death situation, and he handled it a lot better than I would have. Also, he is alive to face the consequences of his actions. If I am on the jury I will give the cop the benefit of the doubt. The woman should have submitted to the arrest, then none of this would have happened. Send her to jail for a long time.
Right now these thugs are protected and ANYTHING the cops do will be bad.
I would back off and let them fight or whatever until a black officer or higher rank than me arrived and took charge.
These thugs are NOT worth going to jail for or dying trying to arrest them.
Local law enforcement goes back to the 1600's.
BTW in my local jurisdiction, local police aren't everywhere. I have a red 400+ hp sports car that I drive fast and I've never gotten a ticket here for speeding.

I never said there weren’t rules on inviting guests. I said that they had been invited via social media so they thought they could be there.
I saw the video. Nobody was rioting at worst they were mouthing off to the cop and doing that thing teenagers do where they make you tell them something 10 times.
The guys shooting the video even returned a flashlight the insane cop had dropped and the other cops were keeping pretty calm.
But the cop doing all the running around and screaming was over the line and the girl he went after was 14 and I’m sure terrified. The idiot Rambo wannabe cop is supposed to be an adult and a trained professional obviously if this video is an example then both of those statements are wrong.
Cops bitch because people don’t respect them and then pull Gestapo crap like this and wonder why.
Oh and the girl wasn’t charged with anything and neither were any of the teens. The only arrest was an adult for interfering the police.
This cop lost his temper and blew his professionalism it could have just easily been at anybody here for something as simple as saying “Hey I don’t think I was going that fast”
I know the cop groupies here think the boys in blue are straight up kind of guys but there’s been way too much of this kind of over reaction recently.
Why was he the only cop who was losing his mind.

Look at the video. None of those kids were doing anything like that they were jawing at the cop.
The two he pulled the gun on were already backing away from him when he pulled the gun.
If he;s that damned panicked by a bunch of highschoolers when he has backup right there then he’s too damn scared to have that job.
But I don’t think he was scared I think he was Pissed. He lost his temper and made the situation worse.
He was probably embarrassed from falling on his butt when he started chasing the first kid.
This wasn’t about him being afraid for his life. It’s about him being Barney Fife.

Well that explains it. Put out an invite on "social media", and the invitees have no obligation to see if the invite is legit.

The “woman” was 14 years old and was released to her parents without any charges being filed.
The cop screwed up.

I can tell ya...... I’m a suburbanite...(even though I do own a ranch and property in southeast Oklahoma)... but I live in a upscale suburb. If I’m ever walking in the rockies and you tell me I’m on private property and to get the hell out... You’ll just have to tell me once. I’ll apologize for being on your place, and move along as instructed. It works that way in Southeast Oklahoma too.
If that fails, the one thing we cannot abide is that racist nonsense they teach in every police academy in the US: take the suspect to the ground and apply the cuffs. And if a bunch of people rush you and try to lynch the suspect out of custody, you mustn't unholster your pistola. It's only issued out for appearances sake.

Well if you’re that afraid and that’s not just keyboard warrior talk then I wouldn’t be surprised if you end up finishing out your life in the penitentiary. Panicked people tend to make really bad decisions when those panic lights flash.
The cops aren’t allowed to just shoot people neither is the general population.
