US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed that more than 10,000″ Islamic State fighters and commanders have been killed since the air campaign in Iraq began in August 2014 and subsequently in Syria in September 2014. If true, US intelligence estimates on the strength of the Islamic State are grossly underestimated.

war is peace
freedom is slavery
ignorance is strength
Obama killed 10,000 Islamic State fighters
Grossly underestimated because we do not know who all is ISIS or who all are ISIS sympathizers or who all is joining ISIS .... any of it.
So we just pass weapons and training all around willy nilly apparently on the hope we are giving it to ‘moderates’. Great policy!
If true (which is highly doubtful, knowing how this Administration banks on lies) it’s what you call ‘a good start’. I am afraid nothing else will do but to send U.S. groundtroops in for direct confrontation. I the Iraqis cannot be depended on, but ISIS has become a threat to all of us, not just those in the middle east.
I recall back in ‘Nam when the NVA bodycount, as reported by the Pentagon, showed that we wiped out the entire NVA...twice!
LBJ’s body count score is resurrected.
This administration cannot be believed concerning ANYTHING.
Yep. Could be true, could be just made up. No way to know.
However if it is true, then it still shows that they are incompetent because it means that they have NO CLUE how many people are in ISIS or related sympathetic factions, who they are, where they are, etc.
Must be a massive army then.
10k civilians, obama is war criminal
If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor.
Since September 2014, the US has conducted an intermittent air war against ISIS. During that same period, it is estimated that 10,000 ISIS jihadists have died -- of all causes. Most of those killed died at the hands other terrorists or the Kurds.
That's just the whey it is.
How much is that in dollars per corpse? We are totally broke so stop and come home and send all troops to the southern border.I can’t care about those rag headed Sunni bastards.
Let me see. We have Harf harfing us, Blinken blinking us, and Obama obunglering us. Sorry, I'm not buying it.
The first indication of a lie is the use of big round numbers.
1. Widespread rumor ISIS is USA/Israel creation
2. Widespread complaining that the US “Air War” is total artifice
3. Repeated US arms drop magically float into ISIS sectors
4. Iraqi gear repeatedly given over to ISIS, “failure to fight”
Conclusion - The US leadership WANTS ISIS victories, but for some reason cannot say so
I’m not quite that cynical ... yet.
But something is not right about all this. I feel it. In any case we should not be involved directly. Certainly not giving arms and training to anybody (since we haven’t a clue what we are doing and what is going on) and secondly no boots on the ground (for the same reason + it risks American lives for dubious stated objectives).
9 to 15 claimed sorties a day, less thsn half of which strike. The bombs they are using must be made by the same armaments company that made the 100shot revolvers used in the old westerns.
We should be dropping in confiscated (or better yet, purchsed) bales of pot. Think of it — we close our border, but buy up all the pot (and other illegal drugs) that can be produced, taking it all off the market, and dumping it on the jihadists. Make it rain substances of abuse. Offering to buy the entire poppy/opium/heroin production of Afghanistan, in exchange for which, those interested in growing it would be given arms, we could have settled the whole place down in about a year, and taken a huge bunch of dope off the market (it would have been incinerated, other than that which we’d use to dump into enemy markets, like Russia, China, South Africa, Venezuela, Cuba). The Afghans would have put the jihadists heads on poles, and ploughed their fields right out to the edges of the gulches.
Oh, forgot to mention, Zero has made the US the most respected country in the world again, and is the closest thing we’ve ever had to a Jewish president.
