Witnesses: Semi-automatic gunfire dominated biker shootout in Waco
AP via Ft Worth Star Telegram ^

Posted on 06/06/2015 1:19:48 PM PDT by don-o

First came a few pistol shots, several witnesses said, then a barrage of rifle fire during the shootout last month at a Waco restaurant favored by bikers. But authorities still have not said how many of the dead and wounded were the result of police fire.

Police have identified only one assault weapon, a semi-automatic gun that fires high-powered ammunition, among the firearms confiscated from bikers, and that was found in a locked car after the shooting ended.

FO!

Is that supposed to be an abbreviation or do you need to buy a vowel or spin again?

These guys are only used to playing offense. When the roles are reversed and all the sudden they are put on defense -- they got nothin'.

HEya, sport! This is a hoot!!! {^)

Ping to my post 97. Taking it on offense and calling them out. And see the eloquent, impressively well-reasoned counter-argument of one of them in post 98!

Made my day!!! {^)

And that means?

It doesn’t say too much good for a group when 1/3 do have (probably felony) convictions. Sounds like the University of Florida football team’s starting offensive line!

Is the $1,000,000 bond too high? Perhaps.

My problem is the very foolish the posting on FR of an aerial shot of the parking lot that showed a few dead bodies was stretched to somehow supposedly prove the vics were killed by police snipers, and that was idiocy.

The problem for the gang members is that if the DA can substantiate that gang members came with intent to “rumble,” all who went to Waco with that intent and while were there when the shooting took place can be convicted of murder. There is no need for a pre-shooting agreement to actually kill people.

Trust me; lawyers are cutting deals.

In addition, DNA, print and palm prints and paraffin tests take while to come back, and I doubt the shooters did much clean up after the trigger pulling..

Finny, you are correct. I am an avid motorcyclist. I’ve been to Sturgis several times. I know who these biker gangs are. They are evil violent men.
If anyone used their brains, they would look into what it takes to join these gangs, and then what they actually do; instead of blindly defending these gang members.

You are either incredibly obtuse, or you are incredibly deceitful.

You assume that the ones with convictions, are probably felons. Done any research on that to confirm it? Put your money where your mouth is.

Do you belong to any organizations or churches? Do you know how many among you have prior convictions? You need to find out. Put your money where your mouth is.

The "very foolish" aerial shot that you refer to -- have you investigated its authenticity, accompanying photos of the same scene from different angles, and the purported message with any depth and wondered what those investigation cones that are marking something relevant to the event to investigators, are doing so far outside of where the action happened, or have you just looked at one photo, assumed it's "conspiracy theory" nuttiness, and run with that? PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS.

And finally, PLEASE put your money where your mouth is and answer this question:

If Texas police are only able to convict one in three biker scum on average, does it mean:

1. Texas police are so incompetent as to fail two out of three times in catching criminal bikers even when they wear signs on their backs advertising that they are criminals

2. Criminal bikers are so accomplished, wiley, and clever that they can engage in meth running, robbery, racketeering, and murder, while wearing signs on their backs saying they're likely to do so, right under the noses of Texas police, and STILL get away with it 65 percent of the time

3. HERE PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS and give a reasonable explanation of why two thirds of biker scum who live in Texas, don't have prior records.

But I'm betting that you will fail to put your money where your mouth is -- because you are flat broke.

“2/3 of the people have no business being arrested”

Prior convictions have nothing to do with the current charge. A prior conviction makes them no more, nor no less guilty in this case.

The problem for the gang members is that if the DA can substantiate that gang members came with intent to “rumble,” all who went to Waco with that intent and were there when the shooting took place can be convicted of murder.

Now the defense lawyers can argue that no activity of certain minor players “advanced” the crime, but that is an issue for the jury to decide, unless some defs can establish to the judge, on motion, that they were in no way involved, but remember, “involvement” extends way beyond the trigger pullers.

Remember, the jury is the trier of facts, not the judge. The judge is the trier of law.... and it’s a local jury P.O.ed about outsiders “messing with their part of Texas.”

There is no need for a pre-shooting agreement to actually kill people, so the uninvolved will not dare let this go to a jury. They will cut deals to plead to DisCon and testify against the actual shooters. The rest, even non-shooters, may face some heavy jail time.

They came looking for trouble.... and got it.

You expect me or anyone else to believe that you believe that two thirds of those "evil, violent men" have ZERO criminal record?

Cause I ain't buyin' it.

Thank you for confirming to lurkers who may be following this, that I am on the right track and proved you bankrupt.

Took me a few seconds ... LOL!! Exactly. At least for some of them. Others I think are really good folks but who are misguided and just incapable of admitting they were mistaken.

Um, what? Simmer down.
I agree with you hoss.
These are evil, violent men, and I’m sure they have criminal records. If they haven’t got one, they must have changed identities.

Really! How about: These are evil, violent men, and I’m sure they have criminal records. If they haven’t got one, they must have changed identities then they must have been arrested and held on million dollar bail for no reason other than guilt by association, being in the wrong place -- a public restaurant in the middle of a busy shopping center -- at the wrong time.

I have yet to see you admit even the slightest possibility that aggressors, bunglers, and law-breakers here were the ones wearing the badges.

So -- no, you don't agree with me. What you agree with is that it's insane to think that out of so many supposed bad people, so few have criminal records.

But instead of attributing the travesty of justice to corrupt and malignant law enforcement, you attribute it to "changed identities" on the part of those clever "evil, violent men." And on a personal note, I have personal experience, first hand with actual evil-violent biker types who had changed their identities. I even had a "changed identity" myself once thanks to a criminal biker dude who dealt in false documents. That was many decades ago, though, when I was young and a lot stupider than I am now, just very lucky and very blessed.

Again, I ain't buyin' your argument. But it IS a pretty creative and interesting angle you're taking.

No, actually LT Calley has explained it all.

It was just a matter of pure serendipity that Company C was hiking past My Lai, just when those crazy gooks were having an intra-clan firefight.

Fortunately, LT Calley’s brave men were able to put an end to the violence.

In Waco in 2015 that is the official story, (along with 2+2=5 and “four legs good, two legs bad.”)

“PS, the last is my last reply to you, since you do not understand either the law nor gentlemanly behavior.”

I notice you are an attorney, and you know what you are talking about. That is unlike some others here with sassy mouths looking for fights and attention.

Inner city drug dealing gangs, utilize young prospects without records. Mafia crime gangs used prospects without records, to take the charges.

There is a wide spectrum of motorcycle enthusiasts, ranging from choir boys to the worst of the worst.

Some people in the middle could somewhat innocently get involved with something they didn’t intend to the morning when they rode to this affair. Like patriots, veterans, religious types, etc.

I’ll refer to them as the “choir boys,” meaning good guys.

Assuming the DA intends to charge the outlaw gang members, what about the choir boys?

When Giuliani and the FBI went after the NYC Mafia crime families with RICO, they must have not charged all that could possibly have been charged.

That process took them years, and involved infiltrator(s), too. Joe Pistone (alias Donny Brasco).

I also notice perhaps an unrealistic expectation that LE will dribble out their cases, to the immediate satisfaction of all.

“Care to guess how many have out-of-state residences? “

It was an in-state gang war. Out-of-staters were not invited.
