First came a few pistol shots, several witnesses said, then a barrage of rifle fire during the shootout last month at a Waco restaurant favored by bikers. But authorities still have not said how many of the dead and wounded were the result of police fire.
Police have identified only one assault weapon, a semi-automatic gun that fires high-powered ammunition, among the firearms confiscated from bikers, and that was found in a locked car after the shooting ended.

Did you know about the 2,000,000 missing British teapots?
There is a well founded rumor they are on a missing cargo ship that was accidentally launched by NASA from the Bermuda Triangle towards Uranus.
Since there are no videos of it not happening, no witness statements from the unknown crew, it must be true, yes?
They may have only found one assault weapon, but how many semi-automatic handguns were found on the bikers?

I was referring to the witness, a former Marine and Iraqi war vet, who said he heard a few pistol shots, and then a succession of assault rifle fire.
Since the only assault rifle found was locked in a trunk, who was firing the assault rifles?
Are assault rifles the only semi-auto weapons out there? What about Glock 43s?

Since the only non-LEO assault rifle was later found locked in a car trunk, where was all the assault rifle fire coming from?
Funny, this is the closest I can find in penal code about illegal weapons. And if you go further above in the chapter, I don’t see any definition of ‘assault weapon’. Pretty sure they don’t exist in Texas.

I was quoting the article that said only one non-LEO assault ‘weapon’ was found afterwards, and it was locked in a car.
OK, but the post you were responding to only referenced semi-auto fire.
I know, my comments were directed towards the article author, not towards you :)
How is it that two-thirds of supposed criminal bikers, lack criminal records?
It’s starting to look more and more what we all feared
Cops gone wild
Just great
Cop arms are junk?
You must live in a poor county
Or have very expensive gun tastes
That’s a Tacoma hoss
Toyota pickup

Can you give an example of a pistol that is commonly carried today that is *not* semi-automatic?
TIA
You and TG make a good posting team...
I got it. Next time, you ask the dumb question and have her answer.
A link to Crystal above shows the AP report of the number of folks arrested who have criminal records in Texas.
Begging the question ... well, then!!! How many of the obvious biker scum arrested, then, were from out of state, and had criminal records?? HMMMMMMM??? Why, it could be that every one of them has at least one prior conviction of some crime, just not in the state of Texas! These are SCUM, remember, biker scum!
So review the list of 177 people arrested and held in the Waco melee, from the Waco Tribune, updated daily. It includes the names and towns/states of residence of those arrested, some out on bail, others still being held.
Care to guess how many have out-of-state residences?
Anyone? Buehler? Buehler?
Either cops in Texas are fabulously inept and incompetent, OR biker scum are fabulously skilled and clever, OR ....
...OR ... two thirds of the folks arrested have ZIP ZERO business paying any bail at all, let alone having been arrested in the first place.
FO!
Either cops in Texas are fabulously inept and incompetent at catching biker scum, OR biker scum are fabulously skilled and clever at evading competent police, OR ....
...OR ... two thirds of the folks arrested have ZIP ZERO business being charged any bail at all, let alone having been arrested in the first place.
It's okay. You can say it. We know. :^)
