and Harf said they can go above or below 50000 troops, as long as at the end of the month, they are back at 50000.
There is dumb and then there is Harf dumb..
you can call me all kinds of names, but if someone calls me a Harf, it’s go time.
on a serious note. we only care that they keep slaughtering each other, right? we have no horse in the race, do we? although ISIS taking over Syria would be bad.
Only American Pharoah < / attempt at humor >
lol
Pretty much how I see it. I hope Iran props up Assad. The longer ISIS is held at bay the better.
Others like McCain and Graham think there are moderates to arm. The ones they previously armed joined the jihadis and gave ISIS their weapons.
stay away = let them battle it out - no trainers, no material, no air support.
Just protect Iraq, Israel, Jordan and Egypt.
Won’t the Iranians, who are Shia, be fighting ISIS, who are Sunni?
And isn’t this what everyone wants is for ISIS to be destroyed?
Exactly right. But it’s probably in our interests for BOTH sides to be destroyed in their war.
The Iran-Iraq war is still on.
I say pull back and let them kill each other..
I think we would like it to all pan out in a way that gives us a degree of influence over the region as opposed to Russia ending up as the regions primary guiding force. As always, our primary goal is to keep the oil trade coupled to the US dollar. so, we do have a horse in the race with that respect.
I say nuke them all now. All of them.
L
That’s the way I see it. But they won’t be destroyed, perhaps degraded in their ability to go after other targets than each other ... which is good.
Either way, there will always be a certain number who will want to attack us ... probably with our own weapons and training!
A suggestion for McLame?
Sounds good to me. There’s still time....
