A military-style raid on a working class home in Palm Springs yesterday was supposed to net federal authorities a drug suspect, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s SWAT team a nice assist.

Instead, SWAT members caused an estimated $10,000 in damages to the property of a taxpayer who had nothing to do with the investigation!

....It’s yet another story you won’t see on the dying corporate media until days from now...

The cops will be cleared of any wrong doing because their intent was justified even though they got the wrong house. Did they shoot the family dog?

This stupid mistake is why the police get a bad rap. Those investigators should be fired, no excuse. This is just carelessness beyond reason.

There is no doubt that no punishment will be given and the poor house owner will never see a dime for repairs. This kind of damage is both mental and physical and totally inexcusable.

In such a case the homeowner doesn't need to listen to the police or to read their forms. She should call the lawyer and let them take care of everything. They should know what to do.

Exactly. Decent people would have done just that and showed up the next day with tools and materials in hand and maybe a toy for the kid. And not because it was the home of a woman; they should do that to anyone they violate and abuse by raiding the wrong house. Own up to your mistakes and make it right. I can't fathom the depths of arrogance and evil one has to possess to do something like that, shrug their shoulders, go home and put their feet up.

This knee-jerk anti-cop ranting is what is inexcusable. If you read the article, you will see that they are not denying responsibility and left instructions how to be reimbursed for any damage.

This is really no big deal. Come to Habersham County GA. were they blow up small children with flash bangs at the wrong house. Now in court the Sheriff is saying the infant was asking for it! Now the former Chief of police in Mt. Airy and his wife were charged with over 25 felony's. Sodomy 4 counts, child sex crimes and endangerment of a child 10 counts. In Habersham court plea-deal down to 4 misdemeanors. So for damaging four childens total life's they got 50 days of weekends and a clean record.
