Today correspondent Jenna Bush Hager is in the running for a new NBCUniversal daytime talk show in development that could eventually replace The Meredith Vieira Show, sources told Page Six.
The Bush daughter is one of several people testing for a panel-style chat program to replace Vieira, which has seen soft ratings since its launch last season.
Hager, 33, was spotted out in Los Angeles last week testing for the potential pilot, which we hear would include both male and female hosts.

I hope she’s more conservative than dad.
Oh,isn’t that just special
Good God,beam me up
She is not conservative
If she’s being considered, then it may be the opposite...
Will her Uncle Jebby be her “Ed McMahon” on the show? Might as well, he won’t be in the White House.
She married Sammy Hager, the ‘Red Rocker’ and played drums.
The daughters are worse, thanks to the wife, a democrat before she married W.
Jenna’s husband’s dad is a big RINO too.
Ummm...we’re talking ‘NBC’. C’mon...
that figures.
Yeah - with news like this, I can take the day off tomorrow.
Isn’t she preggers with her second?
Well at least she’s paid her dues... s/
I was so lost in the victory in the 2000s when we had the Senate and the house and presidency, that I didn’t stop to question why we were still raising the debt every year. I won’t get fooled again. No RINOs, well wait, I did get fooled again this past congressional election. I never learn
No member of her family is.
FYI, before they formed the Grass Roots, Jim and Jon were conjoined twins. They proposed to Jenna after a drinking bout.
They were separated in 1978 during a show in Paris by the Finest Swordsman in France, Jacque Clouseau.
Let me guess, she gets a little love from the media so she can shill for Uncle Jeb through next year, after which, they will dump her like a load of stinky laundry.
Only we’ll have to live with the stench for the next year and a half...
This means NBC gets their Hill Shill in the form of Jenna Bush. Not foolin' me, NBC.
Is that you, Brian Williams? ;-)
