Self-proclaimed socialist and progressive favorite Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) laments the idea that Americans can choose between 23 underarm spray deodorants as children go hungry under President Obamas economy.
You dont necessarily need a choice of 23 underarm spray deodorants when children are hungry in this country, Sanders told John Harwood in an interview posted Tuesday.
Sanders will make his official campaign Democratic presidential announcement alongside the Ben and Jerrys cofounders in Burlington on Tuesday.

One new plant with a total of 500 people has 80% the output of 14 old plants with a total of 9,000 people?
That number is just staggering. Anyone with common sense will recognize it for what it is. Which means Union rank-and-file still won’t have a clue about what’s going to hit them.
Deodorant tastes really bad. At least that is what my seven kids from eight different fathers say each night when I serve my RightGuard stew. Sunday night I treat the kids to Lady Secret.
That bitch next door uses these products under her ARMS. Spoiled rich girl. She married a guy with a job!! Their kids go to private school!! She thinks she’s better than me because I sleep with anyone I want whenever I want, and can I help it if the guys I meet at parties don’t ever send any money to help raise my seven kids, whoops, just had another, eight kids, from nine dads now??
I blame the government. And corporations. They should at least put more salt or artificial flavorings into these deodorants.
Let them eat Speed Stick.
In Russia, is only one brand deodor,...deodor,...what is `deodorant’ anyways?
Under socialism is no bad smells, so happy Russian peoples not needing this stuff.
Comrade Sanderz your best shot for bringing socialism to imperialist Amerika.
Everyone now please to be singing “Internationale”!
Under communism you have your choice of one brand since the government controls all production and it determines that you don’t need all those choices: one will do.
The ruling elite doesn’t care: it has its choice of as many foreign brands as it wants.
His comment is a non-sequitur. Sanders is a moron.
So, Bernie’s not pro-choice. Who knew?
The definition of hunger in this country morphed from malnutrition to occasionally missing a meal to what they now call “food insecurity,” as in, “I’m not sure where I’m going to get food for next week.”
By the last definition I spent some years of my life food insecure. Rarely missed a meal, and when I did it didn’t really hurt me.
You only need to look around to realize that missing an occasional meal would be good for most Americans. Including me, at this point, sadly.
What is he talking about?
Bernie’s correct of course: if there were only 12 brands of deodorant, only half as many children would be hungry, and in point of fact, if all but one brand were eliminated, child hunger would be nearly eradicated.
How many different brands and formulations of birth control pills are there?
Now you’ve gone and done it. Counterstrike with solid deodorants.
Harry Reid doesn’t think citizens use enough when visiting the Capitol.
This is war!!!!
Bernie Sanders: STFU
I am so Sick and Fricken' Tired of liberals always complaining, but never doing anything. The liberals controlled the White House and Congress for 2 years and didn't do Shite. Bernie was among them and didn't say squat. The only reason why this dip-Shiite is opening his yap not is because he's running for President.
It’s always about other peoples money when it comes to lame ass liberals. I have heard this kind of bullsh!# from liberal friends. I USED TO HAVE!!!!
That was Ms Canobbio.
Bernie doesn't mention Zero in the interview. It's mostly Bernie against "the rich" and how he's going to take down the Hildebeest, who has become too rich, too corporate, and too out of of touch.
I had a hippie friend once who went on a rave about “too many choices. I don’t need all those choices.” I told her that perhaps that was true for her, but other people needed those choices. And that all those choices provided work for peopl. She almost got it.
Bernie who?
Didn’t his uncle invent fried chicken?
Life is so much better in the socialist utopias of Cuba and Venezuela, where you can buy no brands of deodorant or toilet paper and children are starving.
Oh, my! Is this moron going to license who can make deodorant products and what is in them? What makes him think that if I buy a cheaper deodorant that I will feed a hungry child who is not one of my kids who seem to be able to pack away the chow—at least the teenage boys do. The teenage girls—not so much.
Perhaps Bernie should recognize that whether or not people use deodorant they are responsible first for feeding their children. Only if they cannot do so should their neighbors do so. Only if their neighbors cannot do so, should the city do so. Only if the city cannot do so, should the state do so. Only if the state cannot do so should the federal government do so.
Bernie seems to have that backwards.
Reminds me of an article I read once about a lefty woman who suffered profound guilt while applying her makeup, knowing that there were hungry children in the world, as if one had anything at all to do with the other.
