Johnny Carson was the best. The Uber liberals on today's gabfests bore me to tears. They aren't funny or even mildly entertaining.

I used to think he was funny years ago. Then he got nasty. So no, I won't miss him. Johnny Carson was the best. Agree with both. I liked his show back in the "Larry Budman" days (1980s?). Even went to a few. But no other such show came close to Carson, IMO.

I enjoyed Letterman when he hosted Late Night on NBC in the 1980s and early 90s and the Late Show on CBS in the 90s. I thought both shows were original and entertaining, especially the segments outside the theatre.
It was around the turn of the century that Letterman went from a funny comedian and entertainer to an old bitter liberal. That was the point in time for me that Letterman ceased being funny.
