Ireland has voted by a huge majority to legalise same-sex marriage, becoming the first country in the world to do so by popular vote in a move hailed as a social revolution and welcomed around the world.
Some 62% of the Irish Republics electorate voted in favour of gay marriage. The result means that a republic once dominated by the Catholic church ignored the instructions of its cardinals and bishops.

Government marriage is a tax ID.
Spiritual marriage happens between two people and God within their chosen faith.
Anybody who disagrees with that is wrong.
Well, I think you are getting at something that should be called a household, not a marriage.
Well, I think you are getting at something that should be called a household, not a marriage. (I mean for the government sanctioned arrangement, not the church or religiously sanctioned one.)
There is no way for the court to legally or morally mandate homosexual “marriage” on the States, but that won’t stop them. Ask yourself why we had to have constitutional amendments to let women vote (19th), abolish slavery (13th), control production, transport, and sale of alcohol (18th), and collect an income tax (16th). The answer: because all powers not specifically granted to the federal government by the constitution are reserved to the States or We the People.
A nationwide majority vote cannot legally pass homosexual “marriage” on all the States. Nor can a majority ruling (aka vote) of the Supreme Court mandate it. There is simply nothing in the US Constitution that grants homosexuals the right to marry. Homosexuals are not a protected class. Freedom of religion, on the other hand, is a specifically enumerated and protected constitutional right.
So, again, they cannot legally or morally mandate homosexual “marriage” on the States, but it won’t stop them. They’ll obfuscate with all sorts of legal mumble jumble, but homosexual “marriage” is not in the US Constitution—not even in a very broadly (re)defined 14th Amendment. Why? Because the 14th only applies to constitutionally enumerated rights of which homosexuality is not.
BTW, the homosexualists could legally impose homosexual marriage on the States with a constitutional amendment, but they don’t have the votes. That’s why they’re using the courts. Why follow civilized behavior (playing by the rules) when it’s easier to lie and cheat? That’s the left’s modus operandi in a nutshell.
Like the farce that growing wheat on one’s own property for one’s own consumption is interstate trade?
My point is that Ireland just legislated a tax ID, or a household, if you will.
Only God can solemnize a marriage, and no one accepts another’s faith for that. It’s about time people got more specific about these things - they’ll use less blood pressure medication.
Me too, thank God!

Correct me if Im wrong, but evidently over a million eligible Irish voters did not vote. So the vote possible could have turned out differently.
And I am sure (at least I hope) both the Irish and Catholic churches will refuse to do gay weddings. How will the government react?
I was wondering that too~~will the government try to force churches to preform gay weddings??
It is more than that; they are determined to shake the traditionalist image that has been used to belittle them by more “progressive” populations. As for their clergy sex crimes, the Church has lost any special place under the law; let justice be swift.
What’s the definition of a gay Irishman?
One that prefers women to whiskey.
HIV positive leprechauns are celebrating.
They said no to the lowering the minimum age of he President to 21 though so gay leprechauns must be 35 to be President.
This just in: Snakes return to Ireland.
Ireland has a higher per capita GDP than Britain.
Ireland is just “something” that virtually never crosses my mind.
Well, sure they will. The Irish or the Americans won't mind.
Traditional cultural values are stronger. Most recent figures show that the Republic registers at 84 percent Catholic, while Northern Ireland is at 48 percent. In 2011, it was estimated that 75.5 million Filipinos, or roughly 80% of the population, profess Catholicism. - https://en.wikipedia.org/
The Philippines is a predominantly Roman Catholic country, with approximately 92.5 percent claiming to be Christian. Despite this, the Philippines has recently been ranked as one of the most gay-friendly nations in the world, and the most gay-friendly in Asia.[4][5][6] On a global survey covering 39 countries, only 17 of which had majorities accepting homosexuality, the Philippines ranking as the 10th most gay-friendly. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_the_Philippines

Northern Ireland is now the only region in western Europe where marriage equality is not a reality. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/may/23/gay-marriage-ireland-yes-vote
The DNC paid Phelps a lot of money to play his role.
Kathy Ireland did cross my mind a few times back in the day.
And, there it is. Well done, you morons. You killed the last hope, in Ireland. Well done, well done by deed.
