Exactly. The trend he admits to seeing will not be getting smaller (he’s dreaming) it will be permanent and larger. One example would be a diabetes patient who is able to get on Obama care. His-her drain on the insurers mentioned here will not be getting less. It will slowly get greater
BTW diabetes is way up there as far as drains on Medicare and Medicaid. 50% (my guess) of these diabetes cases are created by years of excessive junk food. You see that 300lb woman ahead of you using her EBT card to buy junk food, grape soda, Cheetos, lobster and shrimp. She is mostly likely per-diabetic
pre-diabetic
that’s a problem is the unwarranted pity too many working people have for those on Medicaid and welfare and section 8 and snap.. I don’t understand it.
I know because both my parents had heart disease. Yet they were not overweight, nor did they exhibit symptoms of diabetes, so they were never tested. I have diabetes and heart disease, but when I was asked about a family history of diabetes I had to answer, “none, as far as I know.”
As we learn more about the relationship between diabetes and heart disease, and other diseases, you can expect more testing for diabetes and consequently, a reported increase in the number of cases of diabetes.
