So the solution is to quit eating the foods grown in California - vegetables, fruits, and nuts - and start eating more cupcakes and Ho-Hos? ;-)

I’m sure that right now the NYT editorial board is chowing down on garlic cloves and celery. These elitist a**holes make me sick.

I think the NYT should do the world a favor and be the first to stop eating.

The most abundant crop in the US is corn. NOT grown in Cali. After that is soybean, also NOT grown in Cali.
Lettuce and avacados. Other than oranges and nuts, that is Cali’s crops. And I cannot stand avacodos...

This is not real is it? Satire, right?
Anything that sounds completely idiotic and stupid is bound to be a liberal idea. That's a given. Multiply that times ten for anything emanating from the NY Fish Wrap.
Heck, why did they stop at us eating food? Why not just tell us that we all need to commit suicide to rid the planet of our carbon footprints? That way they can save the planet for....mmmm......well......you know....the planet. I guess.

I'm glad to have California providing fruits, nuts and vegetables year around. In the summer and fall I usually eat Midwest local fruits and veggies because they have more flavor. I can't find a tomato in the store that even comes close my garden grown ones.
I guess the NYT is encouraging me to can more fruits and vegetables for the winter so I can stop the drought. California farmers will thank me profusely.

California's inland agricultural areas are Republican-leaning.
The Dems want to impoverish the farmers so they can't support Repubs.

It’s humorous in a way to drive in So. Calif. today. Lanes blocked as the Democrat favored contractors strip the median lanes of the existing “NON drought tolerant trees, plants, and grasses”, and replace them with “drought tolerant trees, plants, and grasses”.....or so we are told.
The history of California weather cycles (basically ten-eleven year cycles with a drought thrown in here, and there), which are documentable clearly provides clues as to what plants should have been planted in those median strips down the centers of the highways, and bi-ways of the State initially.
Democrats, and Cronyism exposed once again.
What’s even funnier is the latest news is El Nino is back, and next year will very likely see forty days, and forty nights immediately following the replanting of California highway landscaping.
