President Barack Obama is continuing his criticism of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahus comments on a Palestinian state and Arab-Israelis before the last elections.
In an interview with journalist Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic, Obama said that the security relationship between the United States and Israel will remain strong, but reiterated that there will be consequences from Netanyahus remarks.
In every public pronouncement Ive made, I said that the bedrock security relationships between our two countriesthese are sacrosanct. Military cooperation, intelligence cooperationnone of that has been affected. I have maintained, and I think I can show that no U.S. president has been more forceful in making sure that we help Israel protect itself, and even some of my critics in Israel have acknowledged as much, Obama said.
I said that none of this should impact the core strategic relationship that exists between the United States and Israel, or the people-to-people relations that are so deep that they transcend any particular president or prime minister and will continue until the end of time, he added.
But what I did say, Obama continued, is that when, going into an election, Prime Minister Netanyahu said a Palestinian state would not happen under his watch, or there [was] discussion in which it appeared that Arab-Israeli citizens were somehow portrayed as an invading force that might vote, and that this should be guarded againstthis is contrary to the very language of the Israeli Declaration of Independence, which explicitly states that all people regardless of race or religion are full participants in the democracy.
When something like that happens, that has foreign-policy consequences, and precisely because were so close to Israel, for us to simply stand there and say nothing would have meant that this office, the Oval Office, lost credibility when it came to speaking out

Showing his true love of Israel for all to see.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Obama is nothing but a street punk with a tie on.
He thinks Netanyahu should watch his mouth, however hasn’t a clue his own mouth should be stapled shut 24/7/365.
Hang on Bibi, just 19 more months.
What a petulant piece of shiite we’ve elected.
Faithful Americans applaud Netanyahu and fervently pray for the consequences of his words. The words of Obama, however, are thorns in our side. There also will be consequences for the words of Obama. He will rue the day he said them.
how many things have you said obama during the campaign but changed your mind and took back? Basically you lied during the campaign, but its a problem if someone else does it?
Obama is as spiteful a person as ever existed. He is mad that Netanyahu actually spoke to congress to make his own perspective clear. How DARE he have an opinion different from Zeros or speak about anything before saying “Zero may I..”
Did I read, somewhere, that Stalin got pissed at Isreal for picking the US as an ally instead of him after their reformation?
Obama is still trying to DISTRACT from the disaster at Ramadi
He shows his commitment for Israel by asking them to give up nukes.
Hardly a day passses when O doesn’t manage to further embarrass himself with his anti-Semitism, anti-Christian, and anti-American outbursts. Pray for him, and Pray for America.
Bibi has the benefit of infinite strength and solace knowing that God is looking out for His people Israel, and will not permit any more serious injuries to befall her.
....”My people shall be shamed no more.
27 And you shall know
That I am in the midst of Israel:
That I the Lord am your God
And there is no other.
And My people shall be shamed no more.” Joel
You just know Bibi got under this child’s skin.
Someday Obola is going to face some consequences.
could that “Day” be tomorrow?
PUhleeze?!!
Pretty hilarious that Obama is worried about “losing credibility”.
Not that simple. The new State of Israel got plenty of weapons from the Soviet bloc while a lot of the West was pro-Arab for the sake of oil. That didn’t really switch until the Suez Crisis, when the Soviet bloc agreed to supply Nasser and the Arabs while the US had to look elsewhere to counter Soviet influence. By then, Stalin was dead.
Stalin never said so exactly, but no doubt he thought the new State of Israel might be pro-Soviet given the socialists and Communists in Israel.
Obama’s a muzzie and an anti-Semite.
