Obama, Clinton Want To Enforce 'Correct' Thinking In America

What happens when the public does not wish to live out the utopian dreams of its elite leaders?
[snip] How, then, do politically correct planners force the people to think and act properly when they push back?
Extra-legal executive orders can help a president bypass supposed troglodytes in Congress and among the public.
Obama granted blanket amnesties, proposed rules that would lead to the closure of many coal plants and arbitrarily chose which health or labor statutes should be enforced and at what times.
A filmmaker was even jailed on a trumped-up probation charge after making a video about Islam.....
[snip] As Obama put it: "We're going to have to change how our body politic thinks, which means we're going to have to change how the media reports on these issues, and how people's impressions of what it's like to struggle in this [economy looks like."
Given the First Amendment, how can the president "change" the media?........

"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
"We're going to have to change how our body politic thinks,....what they are saying is tantamount to collectivism, a Marxist way of governing and thinking......VOTE OTHER THAN DEMOCRAT.......they are Community Organizers, power is their goal....Always VOTE for FREEDOM AND LIBERTY...neither of which Hillary and Barry want for us.

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON BUMP!
When that man talks, we ALL had better listen! Remember the question about your table in Heaven, and who you would be sharing it with?
My picks:
Victor Davis Hanson
Dr. Walter E. Williams
Dr. Thomas Sowell
Mark Steyn
...and for eye candy, a 1972-vintage Paul Newman!

When Henry VIII took over the Church in England, he presumed that since he was the spiritual leader of the country that all the people owed him their spiritual allegiance, so by executive action he became the final arbiter of everyone's consciences and he took charge of all their souls. And, if you didn't think exactly the way he wanted he could charge you with treason where you were tried without legal representation and the only result would be execution.
Just ask Thomas More how that all worked out.

Every liberal's dream.
I once read a book about this idea actually being put into practice. And, come to think of it, they made that book into a movie.

Hands off buck-o!.... I’ll do my own thinking anyway I want to...and I’ll continue to seek the truth no matter where it’s being hid by the media.

We already tried that with disastrous results--ask the elderly survivors of the former Soviet Union under Stalin or China under Mao. Estimates of 100 to 150 million dead from mass shootings, labor camps, forced exile, deliberate famine and ill-advised economic policy during the rule of Stalin and Mao speaks volumes of why enforced political correctness is a bad idea.

Just ask Thomas More how that all worked out. True. But to be fair, he was just a challenger in that game, because the Catholic Church was already doing the same thing.
Whether Pope, Henry or Obama, human beings claiming ownership of the souls of others tends to piss off God.

Yeh, my ancestor was the first Archbishop of the Church of England and was burned at the stake as a heretic when Catholic Mary took the throne years later. It was a revolving door. Ironically, it was the reason his descendants formed an Anglican colony in Maine in 1624.

Wasnt that the subtitle of 1984? Every liberals dreamLOL. I don't think so. As I'm sure you know, Orwell was never a Freeper so he wouldn't have thought up such a clever subtitle.

As for God, sometimes I feel for Him. I mean, think about it. Every single time He tries to explain how human beings should live, they listen, contemplate His teachings, and then look at Him and say, "So, like, the people who don't know this - we can kill them, right?"

The Soviets, and I think it was Stalin, tried this with the goal of “The New Soviet Man”, who would not think or act in self interest, but of the interest of the collective.
