The US Department of Defense “Pentagon” accused the Iraqi army of leaving behind large quantities of weapons and ammunition when it pulled out of the city of Ramadi on Sunday. The weapons, which have been seized by ISIS, include tanks, armored vehicles and heavy guns.
After the fall of the city of Mosul at the hands of ISIS last June, the latter have seized massive amounts of American weapons and sophisticated gear left by the Iraqi army. After this date ISIS became stronger; it doubled its strength and its fighters became roaming by “Humvee” vehicles and American tanks and they sent a large portion of these weapons to ISIS elements in Syria as well.
What happened in Mosul is repeated now in Ramadi, according to the US Department of Defense. The Pentagon published a statement in which it accused the Iraqi army that it left behind, during its withdrawal from Ramadi, six tanks mostly usable, and a similar number of heavy guns, along with dozens of personnel carriers, and nearly 100 “Humvee” armored vehicles, in addition to unknown quantities of medium and heavy ammunition.

Yes they did. The reason they ultimately folded is because the Democrat Congress refused to live up our treaty and supply them with ammo when the chips were down. You can't fight a heavily armed enemy who has massive supplies, tanks, and heavy artillery if you have nothing left to shoot.
In this case it appears the Iraqis were nowhere as good soldiers as the Vietnamese. Obama pulled out our troops before the Iraqis were even ready to take over the fight but we've supplied them with lots of expensive and potent modern arms which they leave in the field to flee from ISIS.
Now ISIS owns a premium quality arsenal courtesy of the US taxpayers and Iran owns what is left.

I beg to differ. He is succeeding brilliantly in destroying America around the world and in our own country. Just because we don't like his "total transformation of America" doesn't mean what is happening to us and our allies is because of some weird stupidity on his part. On the contrary. It is well planned and effectively executed.
He is also running rings around the hapless GOP but that doesn't take much effort or brains to do so it is no big deal. You want "stupid"?... talk about the Washington GOP. They mainstreamed the concept.

No he isn't. It is the Liberal Media doing that. Obama is just a ventriloquist dummy, and I do mean dummy. Without their power to cover up his blunders and attack his enemies, he would be a big zero. He would be a nothing, just as he deserves to be.
Am I looking at his ISIS problem correctly?
The ISIS problem represents a continuation of the Sunni-Shiite problem in Iraq, etc. It represents an unsolvable situation in its present form. We are not going to make them like each other, and we will only waste our own nation if we try. I put some blame on Bremmer for dismissing the Iraqi Army instead of bringing them into our fold as a power center. Bremmer was too busy handing out $million dollar bricks of our tax dollars to cronies.
Saddam gave preference to the Sunni minority. Shiites were the majority while the Sunnis were a dominant minority. The Shiites to a large extent welcomed their rise to power as a result of our invasion. The Sunnis resented it.
The Sunnis have historically been more of a problem with radical Islam than the Shiites. The Sunnis were a major force in Iraq that used the IEDs. The Saudis attacked us on 9-11 while being given special treatment and access to our skies, while we Americans were grounded after 9-11. So I don’t understand why we favor the Sunnis over Shiites and Iran. Before one dollar or one drop of American blood is spent in Iraq or Syria I favor letting the Iranians deal with them.
Maybe the only real solution in Iraq is dividing the nation so that the Kurds, Shiites and Sunnis have their own turf.

More tens of billion of dollars, foreign aid, given to pieceful religion groups. We USAians are so lost in the deception that USGov is trying to _fix_ something with all of this.
All of this equipment and money is going to enemies of us, our country and our way of live.
I believe this activity is not an accident. Large segments of USGov are doing this deliberately. I no longer belive they’re trying to enable infighting between these groups, it is more than that. It is generalized destabilizing and it has enabled more destabilization in MEast. Egypt figured it out. Current USGov is the problem.
Once we clearly see that a Caliphate _has_ formed and runs most of MEast, nay sayers may get it.
