The ancient city of Palmyra, Syria fell to ISIS late Wednesday. Syrian television is airing nationalist songs over nature scenes.

I don’t know about that...seems to me Jordon will still remain basically neutral for the time being anyway....if they go after Jordon they’ll stir the Palestinian nest all around.

Actually, Iran has been backing up Assad. ISIS is not good news for Iran.
YEs of course....but this doesn’t mean any time soon...we don’t know....Iran may choose to move in and just take Damamscus without injury to the city....how long they will have it is another story.
As you know Iran is playing all sides....to win however....the idea is Assad will not be in control...and even iran now will let him fall.
If you put it that way maybe this is just the extension of the Jimmah Cahtah doctrine? What could go wrong by putting a bunch of blood thirsty preachers in charge of the neighborhood? And who knew this bunch would create a spike in stone demolition equipment? When they start their new re-construction program I’ll bet they put in flush terlets first?
