Maybe Brady finally told Kraft he lied and the NFL told Kraft they can prove it.

More likely, Kraft took one for the NFL team again. He should have started and ended his defense with, “The Colts footballs were shown to be under inflated as well,” rather than coming up with other lines that left people laughing.

The Colts footballs were shown to be under inflated as well,
Better yet penalize both teams.
How about all the teams in the NFL!

Wasn’t it like 1 out of 12 balls for the Colts and either 11 or 12 out of 12 for the Patriots?
The Patriots aren’t appealing the decision, but is Brady’s appeal still on???
To: Red Badger
The whole issue is foolish. If they want to make checking on ball inflation an issue for penalties, it should be in the future. Nothing has been proven against Brady individually; and the whole matter is no more serious than what frequently happens in games that are actually close--as the Colt game was not--the officials miss serious rule infractions, and do not call penalties that could have changed the result--or call penalties that really were not deserved, etc..
The case is a distraction from serious things that are happening, which threaten the American future. Someone needs to rise above this silliness.

Patriots, Colts, Vikings, and Panthers were all caught with altered footballs last year. Only the Patriots were punished.

Checking ball inflation was already a task that had to be done before each game. They appeared to subvert that procedure...............

Yes. Maybe someone on the Patriots side did mess with the inflation. But so too, things clearly against the rules happen in every game, and are not called. Keeping this going undermines the public perception of the game, and to what end?
No one is suggesting that infractions not be called; but once a game is over, everybody ordinarily moves on.

Even though I don’t believe the inflation changed the outcome of the game, it’s still the principle of the rules that they were doing something irregular and got caught doing it..........

If the NFL could prove anything that would be in the Wells report. In the end Kraft didn’t want to tear up the league. It is way past time for this issue to go way. And I’m sure the Pats will get awesome compensatory picks the next few years.
