Northern Ireland -- A judge has ruled that a Christian-run bakery discriminated against a gay customer by refusing to make a cake with a pro-gay marriage slogan.

Ashers Baking Company, based in County Antrim, was taken to court by gay rights activist Gareth Lee.

A Belfast judge said, as a business, Ashers was not exempt from discrimination law.

The firm's general manager said they were "extremely disappointed" by the ruling and are considering an appeal.

The judge said Ashers is "conducting a business for profit", and it is not a religious group.

The firm was found to have discriminated against Mr Lee on the grounds of sexual orientation as well as his political beliefs.

The judge said she accepted that Ashers has "genuine and deeply held" religious views, but said the business was not above the law.

Accuse them back of being Christophobes,
which is actually what an “atheist” is.

The left are anti-Christian bigots,
and they are just using this issue to use the gov’t
to punish Christians.

Machete Bakery...a great name......

I have yet to actually try it in person,

but I’m wondering if any leftist has address this
in some forum or blog.

I think they’d be stumped, but, they have proven themselves
to be impervious to logic and immune from shame at their hypocrisy.

The Judge had the nerve to say that the bakery violated the “political beliefs” of the plaintiff. So, whither the 14th Amendment?

I wonder what would happen if one chose to label oneself as an...atheistphobe..for ulterior reason?

“My client an.atheistphobe. was deeply microaggressed by the “gay” couple’s demands that he produce a “gay” “wedding” cake...and has since regulary suffered shattering nightmares!

We are asking for punitive damages...

I’d have a big redneck named Bubba manning the register with a pot of chili sitting out. Whenever a gay couple comes in I’d have him say, “want ta try ma chili?” i just made it last night when we had some folks over for dinner.” I’d fire up the chainsaw back in the kitchen for added effect...: )

Why do these fascists always invoke “the law?” The law is what is the problem, the EFFECTS of it.

So no business can ever turn away a customer? If I try to go into a movie theater carrying a big bag of home-popped popcorn and a jug of sweet tea, and they don’t let me in, can I sue? If I try to go into a fancy restaurant wearing ripped cutoffs and flip-flops, and they don’t let me in, can I sue? Businesses have always turned people away for a variety of reasons. These recent rulings are extremely worrying.

Rush came up with a brilliant response - gee, I’d love to bake you a gay cake but it would offend muslims.

As if bakers can’t claim they’re booked for that date or mistake the salt for sugar in the recipe.

No offense -

I’m kinda surprised at the responses to that post.
Rush proposed this a few weeks ago.

I thought it was brilliant.

I REALLY want to hear a leftist respond to it.

They feel that making the effort to promote a sin is bad (don’t know if they consider it a sin).
