A column of Shi'ite militia fighters arrived at a military base near Ramadi on Monday as Baghdad moved to retake the western Iraqi city that fell to Islamic State militants in the biggest defeat for the government since last summer.
An eyewitness described a long line of armored vehicles and trucks mounted with machine guns and rockets, flying the yellow flags of Kataib Hezbollah, one of the militia factions, heading towards the base.

It’s going to be a bloodbath in Ramadi soon. Especially since the Sunnis and Shi’ites really hate each other.

The Moslem three sided Civil War is full on. For the Shias the enemy includes especially Israel as it does for the ISIS faction of the Sunnis. The two Sunni factions intermingle at the edges and allegiances change and change again while their cores claw at each others’ throats. America is in this fight in a big way and it is not totally clear which faction America supports deep down. It seems most likely tat Sunni America will prove to be supporting the Caliphate Sunnis in the end, against the Arab states and against Iran and against Israel.
Hussein has very much made it his own war but his goals are not similar to Bush’s goals and he understands the facts on the ground much better than any gope or non Moslem Democrat ever could.
Saw a comment elsewhere saying 0bama's strategy of letting the ragheads kill each other was working perfectly and we'd go back in after the ground cooled off. SMH... Where do they get this crap?
In hindsight, seems that the only person in this entire affair who was right was Joe Biden.

I take your statement as sarcasm but I ask, “So the Iraqi Army can abandon them in the street when they run away?”
A bit late for that. If the Shiite forces couldn’t hold Ramadi from defensive positions, they sure aren’t going to have much luck attacking the Sunni defensive positions.
