Democrats are pushing legislation which bans online ammunition sales that do not include a face-to-face exchange of IDs and which requires ammunition dealers to report any purchases of more than 1,000 rounds.

One thing about Nazi-like progressives is that they never quit no matter what the US Constitution says. It must be they think that the Constitution was only written to protect abortion, races, and gays but nothing else.
Fortunately, Republicans are the majority in the house & senate (notice I did not say “control”). Feel better now??
Remember Mitch McConnell’s campaign ad with him waving a rifle? His response now would be “I wasn’t waving ammo”.
There’s already some odd counts out there. Especially in 22LR....325 rounds, 525 rounds. Others have 420 in 5.56, etc....
Then anyone making consistent ammo purchases of less than 1,000 rounds will be persecuted and prosecuted by the Feds for "Structuring" which is defined by them as taking action to evade reporting requirements.
That is exactly what they do to people making multiple cash deposits of less than the $10,000 reporting threshold.

The IRS Seized $107,000 From This North Carolina Mans Bank Account
History teaches us that there is only one way to stop them.
The British wanted to stop sales of powder and shot and eliminate guns. Now the Democrats, who proudly call themselves the Spirits of the Framers, want to do to the Americans the same thing the British did
Yup. I thought the same thing. But, I did read that the gentleman is or has gotten his money back.
These are New Jersey democrats, so there’s money involved here somewhere.
Either they’ve got a warehouse full of ammo that they’re hoping to sell at inflated prices or somebody’s paying to keep the sales local.
Backdoor gun registration by the feds is just a side benefit.
“I really, really, really don’t like these asshats.”
These people are enemies of the Republic.
Wish I could get 1000 rounds of .22.
They never give up.
If they don't win today they attack tomorrow from a different direction with new lies and distortions.
They are unconscionable bast**ds who see constitutional limits on their powers as just a temporary impediments - a challenge to their skills in twisting language, redefining word meanings, developing weasle words and loopholes and creating new "rights" out of invisible ink.
That is why every compromise republicans make with democrats is a win for the liberal agenda, a further erosion of the constitution and a setback for freedom.
The ONLY intent of this law is to prevent law abiding citizens from stockpiling ammo. Or at least monitor and record those who do. In the summer 1000 rounds is about a month’s worth of range time. Less if your shooting handguns.
True.
But there are countless similar cases.
The point being that the feds consider not violating the law as suspicious behavior and an unlawful act.
It's as if you were arrested for driving 59 MPH on a road with a 60 MPH speed limit and charged with intentionally driving under the limit for the purpose of evading the fine for speeding.
Or being arrested for throwing your trash in a garbage can for the purpose of evading the fine for littering.
Bingo! You've grok'ed the way they operate.
As parroted by yours truly many times prior (stating the obvious, perhaps):
“Them” is your neighbor, relative, coworker...that’s where I place blame: Those that support this crap.
“Shoot too high”, a cliche from Watergate, seems apropos.
Will they seize your ammo if you buy 999 at a time to avoid the reporting requirement?
The first one to market a 999-round package as the “Øbama Relief Airlift Pack” is the winner! ;’)
“These people are enemies of the Republic.”
True, but at least for the present, these “proposals” aren’t going anywhere. But what they may do is start another “citizens run on ammunition,” and maybe also spur gun sales ( which is a good thing).
