The NBA is dead to me, but I admit I will watch a few NFL games with my husband in the run-up to the Super Bowl. (I am *not* a Patriots fan, but I don't 'hate' them either)
I am a big MLB and NHL fan, but I don't want to hear Rush endlessly analyzing any sport for hours, days, weeks at a time. In the past couple of years, he gets going on the NFL and he just cannot stop.
NFL analysis not why I and millions of others became fans of the Rush Limbaugh show decades ago (March 1991 for me), and made Rush's show the #1 radio show of all time.

Probably the grind and circumstances are getting to him and he's looking for respite with something he really enjoys that doesn't take all that show-prep work. Okay, that's fine. Turn the mantle over to someone who does care and move on to better pastures I say.
I agree, but I have to admit I think it was a valid news topic when the DeflateGate news broke a few days ago. The problem with Rush getting going about it is he just can't stop talking about the it and the NFL once he gets started... he beats that dead horse into a bloody pulp.
The NFL is obviously Rush's first love now. He actually seems bored with politics and related subjects that made him the #1 radio talk show host in the US.
He starts talking DeflateGate / NFL, and it's like the entire show goes off a cliff... I swear I can hear millions of radios going off.

I would hate to see Rush go. I "complain" so much on these threads because I truly care about the apparent downfall of his show, which has been my favorite - and the Gold Standard of all conservative talk radio show for decades. Maybe he needs a long vacation...?

I’ve turned him off for today already. I might try back in the first 10 minutes again tomorrow. I wrote something yesterday about what he is and his importance and what we expect from him. I was hoping one of his underlings read the daily thread here. Apparently not.

I can understand if Rush gets excited about the NFL at the beginning of the season, during the playoffs and during the Super Bowl, but - man - keep the discussion about it to a minimum! Rush doesn't police himself well whenever any bit of news about the NFL breaks. He tends to go on for hours, days, weeks about his First Love, the NFL. That's why I 'whine' so much on these threads... it's SO frustrating.
Crap... he's talking about DeflateGate AGAIN, 1:08pm ET. He's yakking about the same damn *old news* Brady / Deflator text messages, etc. UNBELIEVABLE.

If any of you are/were long time viewers of “Southpark”, you might remember the April Fool’s episode in the late 90s, when the whole show was Terrance and Phillip farting, and not a single laugh in the whole show. That is how I feel about deflategate talk feels.
