Hollywood star Johnny Depp will have his two pet dogs seized by Australian authorities and possibly put down after he failed to declare them on the an in-flight manifest.
The Department of Agriculture is investigating Depp after it emerged he was currently in Australia with his two Yorkshire terriers.
Officers from the Department of Agriculture have issued Depp and Heard with 48-hours notice to either remove the dogs voluntarily from the country or have them seized.
Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce said this morning the two pooches needed to return home.
It doesnt matter if Johnny Depp has been awarded sexiest man alive twice, its time Boo and Pistol bugger off home, Mr Joyce said.
Mr Depp has to either take his dogs back to California or were going to have to euthanise them, he added.
Depp, 51, and his wife, actor and model Amber Heard, 29, flew back into Australia last month so he could resume filming on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales on the Gold Coast.
The couple flew into Brisbane on a private jet and were accompanied by their pets.
But the dogs were not declared as entering Australia under normal requirements and so will be seized by authorities and either shipped back to the US or euthanised.

IIRC Liz Taylor quarantined her dogs on a yacht off of the coast of England.
.
They’ll execute two little dogs that weren’t “declared,” but let in murderous muzz without question. Go figure.
I'm sorry too. Sorry that morons are allowed to own dogs.
It is indeed heartbreaking. Heartbreaking that there are morons who care so little for their dogs that they can't properly look out for them. I guess learning the rules are only for the leetle people.
That was the last time I showed her. The risk was not worth it.
I hear you.
Me neither. Too bad we can't apply them to the illegal aliens that cross our borders. And don't tell me the risk of euthanasia won't be a deterrent!
Despite the poster,, they let those animals in, just like our Mexicans and moslems and chinamen.
Not one boat arrival has been admitted in well over a year now.
There are people here from before that, yes, but it’s not happening anymore.
People can still come in if they get a visa and the visa process is not perfect, but anybody who is identified as a likely threat does not get a visa.
Actually, from what I’ve seen, the Australians are stopping that pretty well. Am I mistaken?
Understood, but the point remains. Depps undocumented Yorkie is exponentially less risky than any moslem. I cannot cannot understand why one is allowed in with the Moslem rabies infection, and a nice little dog cant be quarantined until time to leave.
Why the need to kill it?
Moslems are allowed to come in.
Save the dogs!
Put Depp and Heard on death row!
Yes, the current government is.
The system isn’t perfect, but any person who is assessed as a potential threat is not given a visa. Anybody who tries to get in without a visa is placed in detention - often off shore.
But the system wasn’t always working as well as it does now, and even now it’s not foolproof.
Constitutionally we cannot have an immigration program that restricts people on the grounds of religion. Politically it would not be acceptable to most Australians either, but even if a government tried it, the High Court would strike it down.
and a nice little dog cant be quarantined until time to leave.
That is what would have happened if they had declared it on arrival. In fact, after as little as ten days in quarantine and assessment by a vet, it's likely they would have been allowed to have the dogs with them. They've triggered the harsher measures - immediate removal or destruction - by not declaring the dogs and quarantining them on arrival.
Why the need to kill it?
They almost certainly won't - instead they will probably be given the option to repatriate the dogs - but they tried to circumvent and ignore the law, and that's why the hardline approach comes in, rather than the gentler approach.
Nobody wants to kill the dogs - I mean, we've got the Agriculture Minister on radio warning them there's going to be a raid and they should send the dogs home before the raid happens. Believe me, Barnaby Joyce does not want to be in the Australian press as a puppy killer.
It is long past time to recognize an inimical political system for what it is.
^^I wanna live in that country.
Not to downplayor justify, but isn’t there a treatment protocol forparvo? I see parvo posters and stuff at my vet’s office.
When I was in Japan, there was a possibility the next leg of a business trip to Singapore would be Australia, so I had to go get a visa which I ended up not using.
They were quick and courteous about it, but I guess there are no visa free entries for even short term visits like America has with a number of countries including Japan, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and most of the EU countries.
