Obama scorned Christians at the Catholic-Evangelical Leadership Summit on Tuesday, twisting the words of Jesus Christ into an insult against the Savior of the believers he was addressing.
Its important for us to guard against cynicism and not buy the idea that the poor will always be with us and theres nothing we can do, Obama said. Lest leftists and liberal Christians say his comment was taken out of context, but here are his full remarks:
One of the things Im always concerned about is cynicism, Obama said. My chief of staff, Denis McDonough, we take walks around the South Lawn, usually when the weather is good. And a lot of it is policy talk, sometimes its just talk about values. And one of our favorite sayings is our job is to guard against cynicism, particularly in this town. And I think its important for us to guard against cynicism and not buy the idea that the poor will always be with us and theres nothing we can do, because theres a lot we can do. The question is, do we have the political will, the communal will to do something about it.
Obamas quotes Matthew 26:11 in a manner thats utterly contrary to the verses meaning.
6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
7 There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

This POS is just on roll these last few days.
Look at the standard of living of today's "poor" versus the middle class of Jesus' day. Somebody making minimum wage can buy enough flour to make bread for a family of four, can buy rice, beans, and be able to get meat occasionally. He can have a small apartment that will keep everybody warm in the winter, and buy basic clothing. Such a person would be considered prosperous in Jesus time, but today is labeled "poor".
As long as some have more than others, the ones who have less will be labeled poor.
I’ll buy the words of my Saviour and the Son Of God, God made flesh, everyday of the week, and especially over the words of a brazen, open liar who doesn’t even care if you know he’s a liar as long as he always gets away with it. This man is a forerunner of the antichrist.
What’s the difference between God and obama? God doesn’t think he’s obama.
There will always be a stratum of poor among us. Some deserving of our assistance. And others deserving of their own assistance. The Bible says there are none so poor as they who will not so much as lift the spoon to their own mouth. (Proverbs 19:24) (my paraphrase) Government welfare programs, being unable to distinguish the deserving poor from the undeserving, pervert charity and increase poverty. Obama lies when he says we blame the poor for middle class stagnation. We blame him. The poor as well as the middle class are victims of progressive socialism. They have transformed being poor from having less money into having no family, living in anarchy, and being without hope of a better tomorrow.
Breitbart Katie asks this rhetorical question at the end of her report: “”Given that Obama has been nothing but rude and dismissive towards Christianity, why do Christians keep falling over themselves to give him a platform to rip their faith?””
Is not Katie and others at Breitbart fully aware that the leaders of the Mainline Churches have the same leftist, Marxist, socialist, and communist beliefs as Obama?
Catholic ping!
Judas was a thief, you know. Such as those who take their cut of the ‘poverty’s purse’.
I was taught during my social work course that the business was not designed to help the poor but keep clients or we’d loose our jobs. Changed course then and there.
I agree. The gloves are off now, and he doesn’t care who knows it. The evil hubris of him to oppose and deny the words of Jesus Christ. He’s doing exactly what Lucifer, his father, did in the Garden of Eden, and all through history.
If he can’t agree with the direct words of Jesus Christ, then he isn’t a Christian.
lol
Christ was right.
Wow.
This is really happening. Here. In America.
I’m Catholic, and my church passively supported his re-election. Even AFTER he had DECLARED WAR ON US through the birth control mandate.
Judas had the decency to go out and hang himself. Jus'sayin'!
This from the Cynic in Chief.
I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.
Ahhhhhh. Now I see what he's saying in context.
What he's saying is, he and his fellow Elites cannot just assume there will always be poor people for them to exploit. They have to come up with policies to ensure there will always be poor people.
Let me put it this way. Left to their own devices, people will attempt to make something of themselves and will, therefore, not need politicians like Obola and McCulloch to be their lords and saviours.
I didn't think so.
That no longer falls into the category of a "mistake".
