Law enforcement officers at Washington, D.C.s annual Police Week tell The Daily Caller that the anti-police climate is taking its toll on the men and women in uniform and that morale is low in departments across the country.
One source told TheDC Monday night that officers have stepped back from engaging in proactive policing, because they often see the same violent criminals they arrest immediately released on to the streets.

In the 80s and 90s everyone wanted to be a cop. It was the cool thing to do. Not so much anymore. The internal politics alone cause many to bail and regret. Good luck.
Obamaville.
>> Anarchy is the result of this.
Do you mean the consequence?
Regardless, the federal policing agenda is plain as day.
Catch & RELEASE has been a major problem in Baltimore for many decades!!!

So they’re no longer going to intimidate people into unwarranted searches , issue parking tickets to vehicles that aren’t parked (they just issue to the license plate number passing by) , steal from the public with civil forfeiture , operate traffic camera enforcement systems support other government agencies enforce their own regulations masquerading as law or otherwise engage on their war on the productive middle class... Hallelujah!
“Id love to see a fourteen day walkout by police nation-wide. Turn every prisoner loose that is in their holding cells. See what takes place.”
Not much would change, honestly. Most criminals aren’t caught as it is and police today are not much more than another street gang. If you’ve ever had an “off-camera” encounter with cops where they assume you are a “nobody”, you know what I’m talking about.
And did you ever try calling for help during a violent crime? Good luck, you’re better off begging and praying. 911 is a joke and a gun at your side is 1000000% more effective than a cop.
I’d vote to eliminate the power-hungry scum and let citizens be armed to defend themselves. With the money we save from cops, imagine how much we can invest into citizen training and equipment!
And tickets, don’t forget tickets.
Lots of tickets.
That’ll show us!
Let the “urbanites” police themselves.
“psyops”
Look for a “sudden increase” in crime, with a few sensational outrages to drive their protection racket.
I left it long ago and discouraged one child from taking it up.
In todays anti-police atmosphere, I would choose another career.

There is no question about that. One better like being under a microscope while being videoed, working with AA types while half the population looks at you with nothing but hate and contempt.
All this while their government bosses are ready and waiting to throw them under the bus to save their own political asses. Life is way too short for that level of BS.
This revolving door needs to end.
The entire WOD is a foul joke on the American people. It did nothing to get rid of drugs but it dramatically inflated the size and scope of government, their control, created more government spending and on and on. A huge win win for government in every aspect.
We should have a death penalty for those who deal drugs and are caught in
their third bust. Why three? because if they refuse to stop, it's their choice
The Gov growing as you say with the WOD is a natural side effect of the WOD.
On the flip side we can look at all the revenue CO. is taking in from the
taxes of Marijuana sales and can equally say that grows Government on a
higher scale by feeding the pig. It's a balancing act for certain to keep
our Government in check on their authority.
It’s all by design.
There's no evidence that it has any significant effect in reducing drug use - and it seems unlikely at best that people who are deterred from drug use by the risk of jail would under legalization be undeterred by the inherent harms of the drugs themselves.
and protects the children from predators
The WOD is failing our children; teens have been reporting for years that they can get pot more easily than cigarettes or beer - which stands to reason, since only sellers of legal goods have incentive to 'card' buyers.
We should have a death penalty for those who deal drugs
Dealers already face a greater threat of death from competitors than our Constitutional judicial system could ever pose - yet there is no shortage of dealers nor of replacements for every one caught or killed.
Druggies are losers and they can all rot in prison for all I care.
