It’s been a while since I read the book. I should read it again. It’s around here somewhere. I’ll either have to launch a search and recover mission or buy another copy.

Using the same ratios, a basketball nearly hits the rim if it misses the goal by a mere 600 feet.So tomorrow morning, everyone on Earth should chant "air-ball - air-ball - air-ball!"

The whole story is fried bologna sandwich, as I am wont to say. According to NASA, this asteroid will pass by Earth at a distance 26 times the average orbit distance of the Moon from the Earth. In short, a story more appropriate for National Enquirer than anything else.

I had a dream last night about an asteroid hitting the moon and turning it lava red from the impact.
Now if only I could have some dreams about the winning lottery numbers...

The moon is currently around 240,000 miles away. Exactly. Here's this big *ss rock over 2000 MILES across roughly a quarter of a million miles away!!! Now THAT's something to crap your pants about!

Gee...I kinda miss Dr. Elders. She always had something really stupid to say. She was a lot of fun.
