Best to sink the boats before they get out of sight form Africa.
That way they invaders can safely dog-paddle back home.
Sounds like she has no understanding of fascism in the history of Europe.
Choosing to risk life and limb to cross the Mediterrainian is not the same as being taking into custody and shipped by rail car to be exterminated in gas chambers, or be shot by German and other agents.
