Congress giving Obama 'blank check' for gun control

Congress is being urged to approve the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade plan even though most have not read it, and a leading gun-rights activist says the plan could give President Obama the power to limit the importation of ammunition and implement his political agenda in many different ways.

“Fast track authority in the context of this treaty means a blank check,” said Gun Owners of America Executive Director Larry Pratt.

“By a majority vote, the Congress is preparing to give the president authorization to negotiate a treaty. When he brings it back, it would take two thirds of the Senate to vote it down because of the way they set up the parliamentary system,” Pratt told WND.

"Congress.....most have not read it,...." Gee, it's not like they've ever passed something without reading it to find out what's in it. Urge your "supposed" reps to vote NO on this.

Members of congress are proving themselves to being traitors to their oaths and to the Constitution. I hope Justice finds them all...and soon.

“Members of congress are proving themselves to being traitors to their oaths and to the Constitution. I hope Justice finds them all...and soon.”

And with justice defined as a speeding of the process of assuming room temp.

The establishment Republican party is merely the Democrat party with a different name. This is not unexpected.

Can we do away with calling them by different party names? There is ZERO difference between Democrats and Republicans. ZERO.

1. It is still a treaty, so a Constitutional challenge could be mounted. Neither Congress nor the president can abrogate it, not even together.

2. No treaty can itself violate the Constitution.

Despite my confidence in the ultimate legal victory of a challenge to any such anti-gun decrees, I would rather that our Congress idiots didn’t give Faux am a the authority to tie his shoes, let alone this.

Nossir. They are not even the right-wing of that party. There is absolutely no behavioral difference between establishment Republicans and liberal Democrats.

“If you want to hear the details of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal the Obama administration is hoping to pass, you’ve got to be a member of Congress, and you’ve got to go to classified briefings and leave your staff and cellphone at the door,” stated the article by Edward-Isaac Dovere.

“If you’re a member who wants to read the text, you’ve got to go to a room in the basement of the Capitol Visitor Center and be handed it one section at a time, watched over as you read, and forced to hand over any notes you make before leaving,” Dovere continued. “And no matter what, you can’t discuss the details of what you’ve read.”

A Treaty by any other name is still a Treaty.

Fast Track for a Treaty, regardless of what the Executive branch calls it, is a violation of the Constitution.

I'm afraid the World Nut Daily...is attributing language that isn't there...

Not that I trust anything this administration does...

At the moment the WND is engaged in fear mongering

Any Treaty needs to be ratified by 2/3 vote of the Senate...

Outline of the TPP...

Not real sure if it's good for what is left of the American worker, but the 2nd Amendment is enshrined in our Bill of Rights...not even a bad treaty can override that

You think we still live in a republic. We do not.

Obama’s lawyers openly admitted to the judge that they directly and deliberately violated his injunction and issued SS numbers and papers to 100,000 illegal Mexicans.
FU judge, what are you going to do about?

After the judge’s injunction following the gulf oil spill, for 6 months Obama directly, openly and deliberately violated that injunction.
FU judge, what are you going to do about?

See a pattern here? Legal victories mean nothing and that will continue to be the case.

All they have to do is put a horrific tax on ammunition and also have the EPA ban lead. Which reminds me I have to buy some more.

“....violation of the Constitution.” Sadly, the lyin’ king don’t need no steenkin’ constitution written by a bunch of old dead white slave owners. Even worse, congress won’t dare be racist and call him on any of the violations.
