Obama Administration Admits Breaking Executive Amnesty Injunction

The Obama administration violated U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen’s injunction halting President Obama’s executive amnesty programs, Justice Department lawyers have admitted to the court, according to the Washington Times.

The Times reports that in a late night filing Thursday, Justice Department lawyers revealed that the Department of Homeland Security had issued some 2,000 three-year work permits (as opposed to the currently permissible two-year permits) to illegal immigrants granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

“What kinds of tangible remedies does the judge have in this case? I don’t know.”

The judge said some time ago that he could disbar those lawyers if they deceived him on purpose. He can also make them “un-do” what they did.

This is not your average judge. He is sitting near the border of Texas and witnessing the problem of illegals coming in. Plus, he’s a Texan in all that means.

Here’s a good article on the broad powers Federal judges have in regards to contempt. If he decides to exercise it there isn’t a hell of a lot even a President can do.

I’d love to see it, too.

Enjoy.

-- He can have disbarment proceedings begun against the government lawyers. That would get their attention and loosen a few tongues. He can fine them personally. --

Kill the messenger - yeah, that helps. The way the story is presented, the lawyers admitted that somebody in the government (presumably not the lawyers personally) violated the judge's order.

See post 43. This judge can ruin a lot of folks days of he decides to. And there isn’t much even a President can do about it.

Again, how many divisions does the judge have. American law does not apply to a dictator. How many fed judges has this guuy ignored to date? Like 15 or so? Did any of them do squat? Nope. Why? No one will back their play.

This suit was brought by States against the Feds. It’d be the Fed lawyers who would be the ones contempt would be directed against. He could even jail the heads of the DHS and INS if he got angry enough.

And the President couldn’t do squat about it.

Well, Norm, let’s see what the judge does. At least he’s willing to take on Obama and he’s a strong, dedicated, judge for the people.

Ok, Glum. You can admit defeat and slink away if you want. Enjoy yourself.

I choose not to.

Don’t get me wrong. I salute and support him fully. I just know history. And WHEN Barry tells him to pound salt, as every would be dictator eventually does in some shape or form, he has no recourse to enforce his decision. I wish he did. I want to see Barry stood up to. But it is what it is.

Please tell me what part of my statements do not comport with reality. It’s not slinking away. It’s the reality of the situation.

he should put the lawyers in jail for a few weeks then, while other federal lawyers would be required to represent the feds in his court.

that way, the next batch of lawyers would naturally be a little better about making representations of the truth in his court.

too bad about the lawyers going to jail, but they knew the risks going in. i do not feel very sorry for government lawyers. i imagine that most of them have very cushy lives.

The part about Obama calling up divisions against a sitting federal judge seems a bit whacky to me.

"Here’s a good article on the broad powers Federal judges have in regards to contempt. If he decides to exercise it there isn’t a hell of a lot even a President can do"

I don't know. With a lawless Presidency and a corrupt DOJ and other Federal agencies with police power, what happens if Obama simply says no and refuses to enforce any order and further just goes to a higher court and has the Judges order overturned. He could bury his actions n legalese, but the old dictum applies - ultimate power comes from the barrel of a gun and Obama has the most and the biggest.

Didn’t seem whacky when it became the most famous quote ever applied to a situation remotely like this.

So why does not the judge order the federal marshalls to start arresting some federal employees, or is it going to be the same thing. The isse goes forward anyhow and the judge says that is okay. just more proverbial crappola by the Odumbo Administration, the rule of Law does not matter. So every FR needs to break the law too and forget the consequences because the Feds believe they are exempt why not everyone else!

And? How many divisions does the judge have to stop a dictator from dictating? How many Marshalls are going to arrest someone when Barry’s minions will arrest them in return and destroy their lives as an example to the rest who would try it? Perhaps their families? Because thats what dictators do.
