Mark Levin believes blackmail or something may be going behind the scenes in the Senate. Heres why:
NATIONAL REVIEW The rumors began trickling in about a week before the scheduled vote on April 23: Republican leadership was quietly pushing senators to pull support for subpoenaing Congresss fraudulent application to the District of Columbias health exchange the document that facilitated Congresss exemption from Obamacare by allowing lawmakers and staffers to keep their employer subsidies.
The application said Congress employed just 45 people. Names were faked; one employee was listed as First Last, another simply as Congress. To Small Business Committee chairman David Vitter, who has fought for years against the Obamacare exemption, it was clear that someone in Congress had falsified the document in order to make lawmakers and their staff eligible for taxpayer subsidies provided under the exchange for small-business employees.
But until Vitter got a green light from the Small Business Committee to subpoena the unredacted application from the District of Columbia health exchange, it would be impossible to determine who in Congress gave it a stamp of approval. When Vitter asked Republicans on his committee to approve the subpoena, however, he was unexpectedly stonewalled.
That stonewalling centered around Rand Paul. Vitter needed ten votes from his Republicans on the committee but Rand Paul was against it. So when Vitter declared a public vote on the matter, McConnell got involved and got four other senators to completely switch their positions and vote no against the subpoena, to take the heat off of Rand Paul being the sole no vote.

Rand Paul joins the sleeze patrol. Who knew?
Jeez...the original crime (fraudulent “certifications” that Congress had less than 45 employees) was bad enough but, as is usual, the “coverup” is even worse. And YES, IT IS A COVERUP to stonewall attempts to examine the original of the fraudulent documents. And Rand Paul and the others have joined in this CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE and we need to disown them as quickly as we would soiled toilet paper—and flush them into electoral history.
And we sure as hell should NOT be promoting their candidacy for higher office or even reelection.
rand paul is a little punk
I hope Rand is enjoying his thirty pieces of silver.
PING!
It is becoming apparent McConnell and Paul have some kind of pact with each other involving a deal with the devil. If one of them goes down, most certainly the other will follow.
Thanks for the ping. I’m not surprised he shares the same hypocrisy as his father.
There was such a pact here in Pennsylvania some years ago when our two Republican senators were named Rick Santorum and Arlen Specter. Each campaigned for the other including Rick’s support of Arlen Specter’s short lived presidential campaign in 1996 and in the 2004 primary when Specter faced Pat Toomey.
Once Arlen put the D next to his name, Rick was out attacking Arlen but the past record stands.
Thank you western Ohio & Kentucky so-called conservatives for allowing these two well known pos RINOs to do thee total damage to a once great nation. I’ll take Putin over any of this nations leaders in a heartbeat.
The facts of this malfeasance are not complicated or difficult to understand. It’s quite clear which side is in the right and following Rule of Law to determine who filed the fraudulent application. The five Republican Senators that voted to quash the subpoena stink of criminal corruption. Rand Paul is definitely running with the wrong crowd in this matter.
Rand Paul is a despicable little punk, but don’t forget the collusion of McConnell.
Paul’s run for POTUS should be dead in the water for this.
Rand Paul is a sell out!
A few of us and we mentioned it often.
Be sure to thank the lesser evil voters that are 100% responsible for electing the Republicans that bade it all possible. Because THEY put those Republicans into power, not those that voted for conservatives. We didnt do it. Democrat liberals didnt do it. Republican Lesser Evil voters did it.
I, for one, am disappointed. The audit the fed guy.. just not audit the lawmakers guy... I am not a Rand Paulian, but I do like the audit the fed.. kick out the UN kinda thinking. Everyone in congress is just disappointing, it’s only a matter of time. Off topic.. At least Scott Brown was a big lib before he got in on false pretenses.
Definitely. He's simply in DC to take care of Rand Paul. By his second year he had transformed himself into an Establishment Serf. I wonder what his price was? Was it money or promises of power positions if he sold out?
I have been suspicious of Rand since he endorsed Mitch McConnel in the KY primary. He even made that endorsement before anyone declared a run against Mitch....
Interesting. Thanks for posting
